My experience with iTrip St Augustine
My experience with iTrip St. Augustine left me disappointed in their approach to customer service when severe weather disrupted our vacation plans. Our group could not make our planned trip because of storm-related flooding and safety concerns at the house location. I understand that vacation rentals have cancellation policies, and I wasn’t expecting the company to control the weather. What I did expect was reasonable consideration and a willingness to work toward a practical solution. We proposed alternative dates, including January 15–18, the earliest all three of us could arrange time off again. Those dates were declined, while the November alternative came with approximately $300 in additional charges. I also asked whether the advertised activity-ticket benefit could help offset that amount, but we were unable to reach an agreement. They then stopped responding to my emails. The handling of the situation left me feeling that enforcing payment terms mattered more than addressing legitimate concerns about traveling safely. The contrast between the welcoming marketing and the flexibility offered when something went wrong was particularly disappointing. Before booking, I encourage travelers to get clear, written answers about how storm disruptions, unsafe travel conditions, and rescheduling requests will be handled. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable booking with this company again.
