Would gladly have given them a five…
Would gladly have given them a five star review, except that I just ordered a few pairs of sunglasses just over two months ago and already the side of one pair snapped off. And I didn't drop it, step on it and I'm not rough with my sunglasses, just regular handling and wear I do with all my other pairs. I just picked them up and opened them to put them on and the side was snapped. For what they charge for their sunglasses I expected better quality than that. And these were my favorite pair I ordered too. Their website of course states you can only get money back or make a return within 7 days, which is too bad because they should be able to guarantee wear for longer than just a few months!

ISLAND SUNGLASS CLUB MODEL SCAM
ISLAND SUN CLUB: the screenshots have been sent to turstpilot and you. It came from your company's facebook page. I verified it was your page, and not a fake, by using the links from your direct website. I think the screenshots I have and the conversations between me and various other victims have something else to say. Im not a customer because I figured out your scam before purchasing your products. Your marketing team received an upset chat message from me at which point you immediately disbaled my code and went through your store and dropped your prices. You then attempted to have my initial review removed. You also have my phone number and have made no attempt to communicate with me directly nor have your responded to my emails, which makes your response to this review a little obsolete, and your claim that youre a standup business.. the same. You guys are stealing from people under a false claim that they've got model opportunities. You dont feature any models that you solicit to, on any of your sites. That means nobody has yet to be featured as a model. I have also found three similar business models registered to the same person (the person who registered for your companies EIN) so this isn't the first and only scam you're running. You guys are ballooning prices in those affiliate links to make the cost a wash so the ladies are just buying a pair of sunglasses. Not only that, if you screen shot your sunglasses and run them through Google image search you can find them in the distributor website for a llmassively inexpensive clothing (rhymes with MEIN) and on the website hinted, directly. There is nothing designer about these frames, the zip lock bags they came in, or their flat lenses. What is expensive about this? Me and the other woman whim on communication with have now contacted our state attorney generals in our respective states (mine is FL) and the Federal Trade Comission. If you would like to take this to court me (which should be your next step if this is false, as you say) me and the other women I represent will be happy for you to initiate. You received a letter from me forewarning you of my intentions, and never replied. The bottom line stays the same. You guys are running a scam and any investigation into your business will uncover that.
4/10 - I found Island sun club from a solicitation to be a brand ambassador. All I would have to do is buy a pair of sunglasses with my affiliate discount and take some pictures, then... if my pictures were selected I would make 50.00 p/picture and up. So I did my research to find out what other type of creators do this to make sure my style matches theirs and they compliment me, and I was shocked to see the quality of these sunglasses. First, when I originally looked they were priced at 140.00 through my affiliate link, with a 60% discount. With shipping it was about 110.00. Then... because I'm experienced, I did the typical second step by verifying through the website directly IN AN INCOGNITO BROWSER that they didn't balloon the prices through the link to make it appear I was getting a discount, when in fact I'm just buying a pair of sunglasses -- low and behold... that WAS the case. Not only were the same sunglasses that were 140.00 through my affiliate link found to be 100.00 in an incognito browser website direct, but through my affiliate link the shipping price was doubled in cost over the direct site. Bottom line, it was a straight wash. So not only were they roping women into buying incredibly cheap sunglasses, they're doing it by making them believe it's a business opportunity. Now to pour salt on the wound... remembering back to the videos and what sparked this curiosity was the fact that these sunglasses came in cheap cardboard boxes, with absolutely no promotional material, and in ziplock bags. So I decided to do a google image search in all of their sunglasses. All of them can be found FOR 2-20 DOLLARS. Not at all designer, nothing new about these. They're mass produced. I have pics but can't post them. Screen shot your favorite pair from the website and do a google image search. The claim That these are a new designer thats up and coming in Florida is false. Again these can be found by screejnshotting the product and doing a google image search. Every paid in their website can be found between 2 and 20 dollars. Since the original post was flagged by Island Sun Club, and this is the update I will add that they have repriced a majority of their stock and taken away the affiliate program. This is not how business should be done and everyone who bought into this affiliate program needs their investment back. These are mostly young women this company is after and if I had the ability to post screen shots I would. But the proof is all online and available for you to find. Please beware.

Thank you for your review. We were unable to find you as a customer in our database and can not confirm the validity of your claims. Much of the content in this review appears to be biased, inaccurate information containing false claims about the quality of our products and offer to be part of an affiliate program (we have never had an affiliate or ambassador program).
We welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns and ask that you please contact our customer service department.
We would like to thank all our amazing customers who love their sunglasses and continue to support our community and brand!
