Irs Ein-tax-idReviews of irs-ein-tax-id.com

Intentionally misleading site. Designed similarly to IRS, but attempts to charge $300-$400 for a free service.

100% REFUNDED - email them this: Dear Tax-IDs.com Support and Legal Department, On 11/21/2025, I paid $339 through your website for help obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN). Because of your site’s design and search placement, I believed I was using an official or IRS-authorized service. I later learned the identical EIN service is provided free by the IRS at IRS.gov. Your site and practices are deceptive because you: 1. Imitate the look and language of official IRS / government pages, likely leading consumers to believe they are on an official site. 2. Charge a fee for a service the IRS provides for free, without clear, prominent disclosure that your site is private and that the same service is free at IRS.gov. 3. Collect highly sensitive personal and business data, including Social Security numbers, under these misleading conditions. 4. Operate amid many complaints about IRS-like appearance, high fees for a free service, refusal of refunds, and unauthorized “compliance” or “annual” charges. My payment was obtained through deceptive practices. I therefore demand: 1. Immediate full refund of $339 paid on 11/21/2025 to the original method of payment. 2. Written confirmation that the refund has been processed. 3. Written confirmation that all of my personal and business data, including any Social Security number or similar identifiers, has been permanently deleted from your systems, except for minimal records required by law for accounting. If I do not receive written confirmation of a full refund and data deletion within 7 calendar days of this email, I will, without further notice: • File complaints with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the IRS, state Attorneys General, and other consumer protection agencies. • Submit complaints to Google for deceptive ads and listings, and file abuse reports with your domain registrar and hosting provider for facilitating misleading activity that targets consumers. • Launch a public awareness campaign warning others about tax-ids.com and similar imposter sites, including posts on social media, consumer forums, and review platforms, and encourage others to file complaints and chargebacks. • Consult with counsel experienced in consumer fraud and class actions regarding claims for fraud, unjust enrichment, and deceptive trade practices, and explore participation in or initiation of a class action against tax-ids.com and associated entities. • File a chargeback and fraud complaint with my credit card issuer, with evidence that I was misled into paying for a service that is free at IRS.gov. All relevant evidence is being preserved and will be used to support regulatory complaints, civil claims, and any legal proceedings if this is not resolved in good faith. To avoid escalation, you must process a full refund of $339 to my original method of payment and email written confirmation of the refund and data deletion within 10 days of this message. If you do not comply, I will proceed on all avenues listed above. Regards,

I asked for a refund immediately after I clicked bc I thought it was going to a verification page but it charged me. I wanted to see some verification to un click anything extra they were trying to charge me for (unless I decided I wanted it) because FILING FOR A TAX ID IS FREE with the IRS. They are duping you into this as it is no more work than the real irs website. I was thinking I was going to get access to extra benefits and decide if I wanted them but no. And they said they would not issue a refund even though I called immediately (3 times and you could not leave a voicemail). Do not use this. I’m reporting to the BBB.

SCAMMERS IRS, please look into this. They mimic your branding and USA capitol house logo - totally deceptive. It looked like we are on IRS site. IRS and Google Please stop this scam.

This company is totally deceptive. They have designed their site and logo to look very much like the IRS. I thought I was on the IRS site filling out an IRS application, but I was on their site and ended up paying $329.00 for a free service. On top of that I had to go back and do hours of work to get the correct physical address and information from the actual IRS. I have already attempted to block their charge with American Express and will call the company as well. I'm a Veteran attempting to open a small business...unfortunate that such practices like this are out there to take advantage of people.

It’s not cool. EIN Numbers are free from IRS. This site tricks customers to pay through their third party service. Be careful to make sure you are engaging directly with the IRS.

The site looks like the irs and if you aren't paying attention you will get scammed out of $150 to apply for an ein!! Crooks!!

a scam website. Like everyone said here they charge tons for a free service, and they even don't deliver the result.
