If I could give a minus I would, applied online for my mum's passport in Jan 24, estimated date 6th march which came and went, I rang nearly every day after that to be told it was being processed, 5 days before are travel date they said a supervisor would look into it, later that day I rang again to be told something hadn't been signed, which was bull dust eventing was in order before I sent it 3 separate people looked over it for me, I begged them if they would let us come and provid the paperwork needed and complete application but it was a definite NO, my mum missed her dream cruise and probably won't get the chance to go again due to her dementia declining, very upset and completely dissatisfied with the service, and to top it all we still waiting for passport 😭 2nd may 2024 still waiting absolute joke

Everything I call a mesage says they cannot answer my call as they are busy. Also I have to listen to this message in Irish then English before I find i am getting no where. It would be helpful and waste less time if I was first asked to push a button for which language I needed. I need to speak to someone but its not going to happen so maybe we have to step backwards and write letters again.

I contacted the Dublin Irish passport office to speak on behalf of my wife. My wife told the operator she had given me permission to speak on her behalf. I was nice and polite, I just wanted to sort an issue out. However, when I was in mid sentence, the operator put the phone down. I was gobsmacked. I immediately filed a complaint. I got a response the next day to say as the application was in my wife's name,it is she who must make the complaint. Their logic defies explanation. Their standards are in the gutter. In future, I will use the post office on South John Street Liverpool. They seem far more organised and helpful. I rarely, if ever,write a poor review, but this passport office takes some beating.

Total disaster..sent application for passport July 23 and am still waiting on it February 24. All appropriate documents have been provided: long birth cert, short birth cert, driver licence, marriage cert, 4 photo suitably countersigned, my old passport. All details have been correctly submitted - all forenames correlate between documents. They appear to be trying to stall the process by querying and finding fault when there is no fault! Ironically, turnaround for online British passport is ONE WEEK.

don't bother. a total shambles. They told me that i did not submit my id verification form with my proof of address letters. Then when they returned the proof of address forms guess what. in the middle was the form they said they did not get. Then when you try to talk to them they put the phone down when you explain whet they have done.

Worst service in all my life appiled dec time online and months down line only I rang the lady said oh yours is ok and went to print the nxt day. That was fine however my sons needed more ID sent all away that same day and still nothing he flys 27th june never have been through so much hassle. The mistakes this office has made and I wrote letter complaint still waiting . Avoid it get British passports guys .

applied online for a Irish Passport, the office in Dublin received the application on 7/01/22. You can check the progress of the passport by a visual display on line. The display said the passport should be ready by the 4/04/22 ??. the display did not move for 4 weeks. I was getting very worried. I rang the Passport office 54 times, but only got through 1 time, the person said he would try and hurrry things along????. (it did not). I also had 5 Web chats, what a waste of time these were. I received my passport today 23/04/22, over 3 Months & 3 weeks. What a nightmare. Should have gone on a Cruise 20/04/22, Missed that. Could not book any holiday (no passport) and the passport office had my old passport. Could not speak to anyone?. Spent over 2 hours on the phone. This should not have taken the time it did.
