This sucks so horribly. I am in the 6th grade, and I need to do SO MANY lessons. The diagnostic really sucks, too. If you get one question wrong, you get sent like 3 grade levels below your grade level, like if you're in 6th, you get 3rd-grade questions. Imagine you're in 1st grade, you guess all the questions correctly, and you have 8th-grade-level questions.

I ready sucks
Every time my teacher makes me go on i just hate it i used to love math now it just feels like a prison I ready is the worst teaching platform if I do bad on a lesson it makes me restart and dose not tell me what I even got wrong I say this should be taken down we should not use I ready.

The lessons are boring and repetitive
The lessons are boring and repetitive, it was all stuff that I had learned in class, and it sucked away 15 minites of free time a day.

I would give this 0 stars if I could
Iready made me feel stupid and the lessons didn’t even teach me anything and if you answer something incorrectly it’s just straight up yapping and no guidance at all and the worst part is that if you get below 60% it makes you restart the 40 minute lesson with no guidance at all and teaches stuff that you don’t even need and makes me lose interest in math and reading

iReady is really bad.
I really hate iReady. The math lessons make you do “models” that are confusing and hard to understand, even when the actual problem isn’t that difficult. The models, and honestly the whole interface, feel really clunky. It’s easy to misclick or accidentally press the wrong thing, which just makes everything more frustrating. A lot of the time it teaches you things you’ve already proven you know, which makes it feel like a waste of time.
The reading program isn’t much better. The 5th grade reading lessons treat you like you’re in kindergarten by explaining very basic things like simple words or word roots. Then 6th grade reading suddenly feels way too easy, like something a 4th grader could do.
Another big problem is that the levels feel really unpredictable. For example, I was doing great in math, but it suddenly moved me down a level for no clear reason. It doesn’t feel like the program actually reflects how well you’re doing.
And don’t even get me started on the diagnostic. iReady diagnostics work so that if you get a question right, you go up a grade level, which is really dumb. Imagine you’re a 2nd grader who keeps guessing on questions and somehow ends up doing 8th grade math. Or imagine you’re an 8th grader having a bad day on the test and suddenly you’re stuck relearning kindergarten math. It doesn’t seem like a reliable way to measure what students actually know.
Overall, iReady is frustrating, confusing, and doesn’t always match the student’s real ability level and it's really upsetting knowing schools think this is reliable.
(Edit: I’m honestly really happy and excited that more information is coming out about this, and I’m grateful people are finally talking about it so students and parents can stay informed. There is currently an ongoing lawsuit against i-Ready’s parent company, Curriculum Associates, filed in late 2025. The lawsuit alleges that i-Ready collects large amounts of student data—including personal and behavioral information—and may share it with third parties without proper parental consent. It also claims the platform could be used to build detailed profiles of students. The company denies these claims and says all data is used only for educational purposes and follows privacy laws. The case is still ongoing and has not been resolved.)

This product is so bad, im in 7th grade and on those diagnostic tests if you get a few questions right they'll give you like high school questions, and the lessons are boring and at our school we have to do 4 ireadys and if we do not then we cannot have fun which i find very stupid, oh and in the iready diagnostic , before if you got a break you could play a game, it was helpful and relaxing and get me excited but now its gone and was replaced by some boring breathing thing. At this point delete it and retry.
