We will be writing a goole review shortly. Before we do, we want to contact you and perhaps come up with a solution. We are very disappointed in that our shipment was robbed of valuable things. We will be contacting Ami in the coming days as we are still inventorying 320+ boxes.

Poor communication
Poor communication, enormous delays, extra fees. Beware. Four months and we still don’t have our belongings. Nor can we get answers on belongings left behind that they were positive was going to fit. Extra packaging fees even after house survey and storage fees due to delays that they couldn’t find a reason for

Dear Didier,
We are sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during the shipping process. We understand how frustrating it can be to have delays. Unfortunately, your claim that we advised your shipment would be delivered by October 31 is inaccurate. Changes in shipping schedules can happen for numerous reasons which is why we never guarantee a delivery date. Please note since you were unavailable to receive your shipment until after October 23, this delayed the delivery timeline by 3 weeks as the vessel arrived on October 3.
Regarding the damages, your shipment was self-pack and as such, we are not responsible for damages resulting from improper packing/wrapping.
Regarding the communication, your Move Coordinator was in regular contact with you, immediately addressed your concerns while liaising with our destination agent.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

This Company Doesn't Care or Take Accountability For Your Precious Items
I hired these folks last year and items were packed up to be shipped on 10/31/2022 from NYC to Dominican Republic. I waited a little over a year to write a review because I have been dealing with the remnants of their misdealings since the beginning and wanted to give an accurate account of what transpired. At this time, I am currently working with their insurance company which I suggest everyone gets if working with this company. This company doesn't seem to care about the condition of packing of items. The Operations Manager lost 2 boxes. They didn't want to pick up the items they left behind and told us to drive all the way to Kearny, NJ to drop them off and then gave us the receipt and lost the items afterward without any apology or accountability. Boxes were mislabeled. For example, one box states "Monitor" but it was my subwoofer. Another stated "Printer" but it was desk supplies. I am still looking for things. I don't have all of my kitchen accessories. Boxes labeled clothing are actually from the linen closet and vice versa. My pictures and frames weren't wrapped appropriately, and most are damaged now. Including a sentimental hand-drawn illustration that took over a year to complete. It took more than 30 days to get email responses from the Operations Director and they poorly packed valuable and sentimental items. They boxed all the electrical cords to items in separate boxes that have nothing to do with the items packed with and it's been a struggle to put all the things back together. They also took apart a wooden desk that could have been shipped in one piece and didn't even try to save all the parts or pack up the wooden shelves which were destroyed (I have pics to share of all these items if anyone cares to see). I have so much more I could say but don't have the space for more than 4000 characters. I believe the company took advantage of me because I did not come from an affluent neighborhood and thought my items were less valuable. One mover was rude and ignored me when I was trying to give instructions/requests on my living room pieces and antique metal fireplace passed down from the 1970s. He mispacked most of the items which makes me think he did it on purpose because I requested to remove dust bunnies that he packed with my sofa. I didn't say anything on the first couch but took the opportunity on the 2nd couch because I just didn't want to bring old dirt to my new place. Once I asked him to do that his attitude changed and started to ignore me which was unacceptable. The company didn't say or do anything to reprimand him for his behavior once I explained what happened. I had 3-4 different project managers and the last one was the most thorough but it was too late because my stuff had been shipped at the time. I was told I had to reach out to their internal team directly to make arrangements or ask questions when it should be their Project Managers' responsibility. The Sales Rep was nice until he got my business then wasn't helpful at all and was rude and distant. The original PM (#1) disappeared for weeks and then I had a new PM (#2) who didn't last long. She was on the account for approx a few weeks before leaving the company. She tried to help but seemed overwhelmed and told me I also needed to follow up with folks like the Ops Director directly on things when it should have been her responsibility as the PM. The Ops Director never responded to my emails on time. Some emails took 30 days (I have the proof if anyone wants to see) which caused delays and additional costs due to items not being delivered on time causing int'l tax increases to hit my shipment. Project Manager #3 took over my account after everything was shipped at sea and tried to remedy issues the best she could but it was too late. She could mostly only help with communication among internal depts. The people in the Dominican Republic who received my items were the best part of the ISAS because they were most thorough and empathetic with the issues I've encountered. They could tell things were not done correctly by ISAS and I was not given the service I deserved. Overall, this company took no accountability and did a poor job of showing any remorse or wanting to rectify the issues they caused with packing. I guess it's because (possibly) I didn't look like their other customers and didn't come from an affluent neighborhood even though I tipped the movers very well and gave them furniture and electronics (i.e. dining room/kitchen chairs, and speakers) they asked for when they realized I wasn't taking them. The service received was subpar and I didn't feel valued as a customer even though I paid on time and did everything asked of me when requested. I felt ignored and strung along. This is not how customers are to be treated by an alleged first-class company.

Dear Darin,
We apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced during the moving process and are very regretful to hear this feedback. We aim to provide reliable and professional services to all our customers and never wish to make any client feel otherwise.
Unfortunately, some of these facts are misrepresented. You claim we "lost" 2 boxes and didn't want to pick them up from your home. Please note our foreman conducted a thorough walk-through and the signed paperwork indicates nothing was left behind. After our crew left your home, you brought to our attention 2 items still needed to be added to the shipment and therefore we gave the option of dropping them off at our warehouse.
Once you brought to our attention the negative experience with our foreman and concern regarding communications, we addressed your concerns and as a gesture of goodwill gave you a discount of $575.00.
Please note unfortunately, it is not uncommon for stickers to fall off during transit as the shipment endures a long trip. Items from different rooms/categories are consolidated to mitigate empty or "dead" space and using an unnecessary amount of packaging, which can increase the total volume and potentially risk an overflow.
If you would like to discuss anything further, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Definitely not transparent fees. Additional cost halfway trough the process.
Definitely not transparent fees. Our budget increased by almost 30% from the initial estimated amount. This increase occurred on the day of the move, with the crew already in our home. Lack of experience and diligence from the sales team. Learning: a company that does not allow you to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. We incurred additional costs halfway through the process when it was no longer possible to hire another provider.
Response from International Sea & Air ShippingSep 13, 2023
Dear Maria,
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced and understand it can be frustrating to have unexpected charges.
We conducted a survey prior to your move which came to 943 CF. Your contract was based on a 20ft container which holds up to 1000 CF. When our movers arrived, they noticed you had significantly more items than were shown to our surveyor. You were notified immediately that you would require a 40ft container and the price would increase if you shipped everything in the home. We gave you the option to prioritize your shipment to stay within the original estimate. However, you gave us the green light to take everything knowing it would result in additional costs. The final volume picked up totaled 1400 CF.
The survey report shows 141 items and our crew picked up 222 items, per your consent.
As stated in our contract: The Final Price is based upon the actual weight and volume.
If you would like to discuss anything further, please contact me and we will try to find an agreeable resolution.

Moved from NYC to croatia
Moved from NYC to croatia. Ripped me off going and coming with shuttle fees.
When my items arrived, items were missing and several boxes had the top items removed. Lost my electronic drum set in a large plastic bin with wheels. I guess I made it too easy to steal. Nothing worse than having ur personal belongings stolen.
They talk a good game but it's all BS.

Dear Christopher
The entire world is dealing with the supply chain crises which have affected our Industry as well.
We have Informed you verbally and, in our shipping, agreement.
Quote:
"The supply chain crises have resulted in severe port congestion and limited vessel availability. The moving industry is faced with unprecedented challenges in securing containers and booking space on ships. Due to this, there is a possibility we will need to shuttle your shipment to a secure warehouse prior to loading the container in order to accommodate ocean carrier bookings. This is subject to additional costs if applicable such as ocean freight increases, shuttle service, and storage charges." Unquote.
Your claim that we have "Ripped You Off '' with a shuttle fee $522.50 (you have chosen not to mention the amount) which Included pick up your items to our warehouse, placing them into storage vaults, one month of storage, pick up the container from the port, load your goods in the container and then deliver back to the port cannot be any further from the truth.
This is a service we had to perform not of our own choosing but to accommodate the vessel schedule. It would have been much easier and cheaper for us to load the container at your residence and deliver it directly to the port. If we had not performed the “shuttle” service, It would have cost you over $8000.00 in storage and demurrage.
So, instead of THANK YOU we get this 1-star review.
In regard to the theft allegations which are taken very seriously. We would like to Inform you that we have 24-hour video surveillance covering all areas of our warehouse and vet each one of our workers.
As our shipping agreement was based on self-pack, you packed all your boxes, and we cannot attest to what exactly you packed inside each one. According to the loading documents, all boxes were checked off and loaded into the container from our warehouse. also, our destination agent confirmed that some labels fell off the boxes but ultimately, the same # of pieces arrived as was loaded at origin.
In conclusion, our reputation is very Important to us and we take every claim very seriously, If there is anything we can do or if you wish to discuss your situation any further, please let me know.

The worst!!!!
Worst. Liars and scammers. When I asked for the quote, Peter was very kind and answered the phone at all hours. We needed to send our house from NY to Barcelona, we asked him a thousand times if the budget was the closed price, if we would not have surprises with extra charges and he assured us that that price was closed and that we should not worry that there would be no extra charge. and we decided to do it with him. But after we signed the contract everything was changed. He stopped answering the phone and it took about 3 days to answer the emails, the budget that was $7,000 mysteriously increased $500 dollars the same day we were leaving because there was a logistics problem at the port. changed the same day we were leaving…But the big surprise has been now when the ship has arrived at the port of Barcelona and they tell us that we have to pay $2000 for ridiculous concepts such as - Difficult access to the property. I live in a house and you can enter the truck in it. - — Specialized shuttle truck to get to my house. 😱 that was already budgeted, is a door-to-door service.
- Handling of cargo in the terminals of the port of Barcelona…
Honestly, you seem to me like thieves, and liars.

They took my belongings, and haven’t delivered them
They took my belongings, then put them in storage unit. That is where they still sit, over two months later, still there. They have lied repeatedly as to when it will ship. Every two weeks there is a new lie. DONT USE THEM! NOT TRUSTWORTHY AT ALL!!! It’s not that I wasn’t understanding of a wait. I was. Telling your customer that they have a “confirmed” shipping date, then after that telling them a series of excuses as to why they haven’t shipped is poor business practice. Now I am trying to get my belongings released from their subcontractor and use another shipper. The owner is adding charges to the contract, and trying to double bill me. If you value your belongings, pick someone else to move them. At this point I worry I will never see my belongings again.

Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic has considerably disrupted the supply chain of containers, resulting in severe port congestion and limited vessel availability. The moving industry is faced with unprecedented challenges in securing containers and booking space on ships a specially on the west coast. Not only that, there is also severe shortage of equipment and drivers.
This are not normal times and we do expect our customers to be more understanding which we are happy to say, most of them do.
