This is a awful service, they keep overcharging after the full service is paid for and they keep delaying things just because it’s not in their power to do better. The customer support is ignorant and if I could put 0 stars I would do it

If I could give it a zero rating i would.
If I could give it a zero rating, I would without hesitation. I contracted these services for my relocation from Massachusetts to Puerto Rico. I was informed that my shipment would be delivered to my doorstep within 30 days. However, this never materialized. After they began making excuses regarding the size of my belongings and claiming that it would take an additional 4 weeks or so, my belongings remained in storage for 3 weeks until I contacted them. They were claiming that it had already arrived in Miami and was still in a warehouse in Massachusetts. Fortunately, I was able to track one of my devices and determine its current location. Only then did they acknowledge that it was still in Massachusetts and had been transported to Miami, where it has been waiting for approximately 2 weeks. They are currently assessing the possibility of finding additional items and, if successful, shipping them.
Regrettably, I was not informed of any of these developments until after I had already paid and my belongings had been collected. I had trusted that I would receive my belongings on time, and now I am in need of items that are currently sitting in the Miami heat for an unknown duration. In approximately 2 weeks, it will have been 2 months, and I still do not have an estimated date for when my shipment will be shipped or received. This is, in my opinion, a highly irresponsible situation.
My coordinator only responded to every other email, but they were unable to take any action to expedite my shipment. This was despite the manager who had previously booked me faults for not being honest about the delivery date and the shipping process. All I received was a simple apology. At this point, I am desperate for my shipment and do not even know if it still exists.

Xavier,
I sincerely apologize for the frustration the transit time has caused. We regret that your experience has not met expectations or our standards.
Shipping dates to Puerto Rico are based on a Groupage which consolidates multiple shipments into a single container to optimize cost efficiency. This means that your items are transported along with others heading to the same country, which can extend the overall transit time as we wait to fill a container. I want to point out that your sales representative advised prior to you booking with us, that the transit time would be longer once you requested to downsize and no longer use an exclusive container.
This allows us to offer more competitive pricing, especially for smaller shipments. Hector confirmed that he discussed the approximate timelines with you based on Groupage shipping but I apologize if it was not communicated clearly enough. Furthermore, please note that all timelines are approximate.
Your shipment is safely being stored at our agent's warehouse in Miami FL in the meantime.
I assure you that we are actively monitoring the situation and aiming to fill the container as fast as possible.
Again, we deeply regret the inconvenience and are committed to reuniting you with your belongings.

Would not recommend, much longer delivery than advertised
I worked with International Sea & Air Shipping and their partner company in the Netherlands, Schmidt Global Relocations, for my move to Norway and was highly dissatisfied. My largest complaint was the delivery time. They wrote 10-14 weeks approximate delivery, and it took 22 weeks. That is double the time I was first informed it would take. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have looked into air freight. Secondly, my complaint is with my representative from the US. I had to reach out to her for an update on my shipment every single time. She had multiple spelling errors in her email, showing a general lack of care for her work, and she spelled my name wrong more than once. I found her responses to be slow as well. The Dutch office was not much better. My representative there was hard to get ahold of, and I spent one full week waiting for a return call, after we had scheduled a call that she did not make. On the shipments part, all of my boxes arrived, but they were wet, as if they had been stored in a damp area over time. Three of my boxes had perforations/tears/holes that were not there when I gave them to the company. A hinge from one box was taken off and added to a completely different box (a purple hinge moved to a gray box, making the switch obvious). I would not recommend this company to anyone. I would working with DHL, UPAKWESHIP, or any other form of delivery.

Dear Stephanie,
We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused by the issues you've reported. Ensuring a smooth and timely shipping experience is a priority for us.
The quoted rate is based upon a Groupage consolidation. Therefore, sailing dates were subject to availability of other shipments to fill the container. As also stated on your contract; all estimates of shipping time are approximate and unfortunately, your shipment arrived at destination right before the holidays. Due to the holiday season: Many transport companies, moving agents, and government offices were experienced significant delays and backlog.
Regarding the condition of your boxes, we are sorry to hear that some arrived with some wear and tear from the long journey overseas. We are relieved that there seems to be no missing items or damages.
Should you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our office.

Horrible customer service
I had an extremely frustrating experience with this company’s customer service. The representative I spoke with was not only unhelpful but seemed genuinely annoyed whenever I asked for clarification on my questions. It was clear they lacked the basic communication skills necessary for effective customer support, which made it difficult to build any trust.
Due to this disappointing interaction, we will be choosing a different company for our shipping needs. If you decide to work with this organization, I truly hope your experience is much better than mine.

I sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience you had with our customer service representative.
As a gesture of goodwill, I would like to offer you a discount on your shipment with us. I hope this will help to restore your confidence in our company and encourage you to give us another chance.
I have spoken to the representative in question and provided them with your comments to ensure that this does not happen again.
Thank you for your feedback. It is invaluable in helping us improve our customer service.
*Update November 12* - We are thrilled that you've reconsidered working with our company. Our sales representative, Robert, will ensure you receive exceptional treatment, attention, and professionalism.

Dreadful experience
Dreadful experience. I moved from the US to the UK. I hired this company based on their Trustpilot
reviews. My experience was different, this is what I had. Lack of cooperation, often had to email twice to get an answer. Packers who could not understand instructions except when talking to their boss and he was often MIA. Valuable stuff thrown in boxes without any internal packing, expensive artwork thrown in with kitchen equipment, heavy items packed on top of fragile things, massive amount of breakages. Things I wanted crated were taken with no packing at all, marble art pieces wrapped in only bubble wrap, shattered. Unfortunately, I couldn't unpack everything in the month allowed so I'm still finding many broken things that cannot be claimed on insurance. The whole experience was heartbreaking.
Update 11/11/24: I do not agree with their statement about crates, several things that were on my list and their list did not arrive in crates and were broken. I've twice written to Avi, once with early photos of the damage, and not received a response to either. I doubt they are doing an internal review or plan to change their practice. They have not contacted regarding the extended insurance. In my opinion, take out lots of insurance, make sure you claim everything within the month allowed, take notes of box numbers of damaged items, submit lots of photos and use them at your own risk. I would not recommend.
Response from International Sea & Air ShippingNov 4, 2024
Dear Priscilla,
Firstly I want to apologize for the negative experience you had with our services. I have reviewed your contract and can confirm that everything you requested to be crated was, in fact, crated. However, I understand that this does not excuse the other issues you experienced.
We are reviewing your comments internally regarding the packing and planning processes with our team and local agent, The packers involved in your move have been notified and we are enforcing next steps to ensure that this does not happen again.
If you want to extend the insurance claim period, I can put in a special request. Please let us know and feel free to reach out if you wish to discuss anything further.

Worst Experience Ever
Costs were not transparent. Lots of bait and switch in the sales department. Insurance was total crap- read the small print- it doesn't cover your replacement costs. Shipment was over 30 days late and routed to more ports than planned. Worst of all, we paid for packing of all our belongings. Clothing was shoved in boxes, furniture not properly protected and many items were broken. Lamp shades stacked and stuffed in boxes are unusable, parts to hold the shades on removed and lost. Many of these items cannot be replaced in rural Italy. We shipped 3 beds and NONE of the parts were shipped as a unit. LOTS of breakage of family heirlooms and photos. We have moved internationally on multiple occasions and this has been the WORST experience. BE CAREFUL- if you do not read every word they send you, you could be in for a bad surprise. Once goods arrived in Italy, job was handled with transparency and care by Bliss Moving.

Dear Lauri,
I apologize for the negative experience you had with our company and that certain items arrived damaged. I understand your frustration with a lack of transparency and assure you we do not tolerate any "bait and switch" tactics. Your volume increased by over 20% and insurance coverage was added, which is an additional premium as indicated on our shipping agreement.
We take these issues seriously and have investigated your remarks with our local agent. We are taking steps to improve quality control procedures.
We apologize for any delays, however we have no control over the shipping routings which is why transit times are not guaranteed.
Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss anything further.

Wow,where do I start
Wow,where do I start? First, it sounds too good to be true, because they don't mention the deposit you have to put down which is not included in the full price.
Second, they say you don't have to do any work, total lie. The Dutch company that was working with bringing our stuff to Germany sent all paper I didn't know I would be filling out (since they intentionally make it sound like they take care of everything) to the WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS. After weeks they finally send the final form I needed (meanwhile, we're waiting for call that doesn't come)
Finally, you cannot pay the way you want. You have to do direct transfers because they DONT ALLOW DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS. TERRIBLE COMPANY.
Response from International Sea & Air ShippingAug 12, 2024
I'm very sorry to hear about your frustrations and dissatisfaction. We strive to be transparent about all costs and procedures, however it seems there may have been miscommunication that requires clarification.
Our deposit policy was explained by your sales agent prior to signing the contract, which is a prerequisite for scheduling a pickup date. The deposit was applied to your shipping invoice and deducted from the final balance, so indeed it was included in the full price. Our shipping agreement also states "25% deposit is required upon signing of this Agreement."
Regarding the paperwork, there are certain documents that Customs requires which only the owner of the shipment can complete. We We aim to facilitate and communicate all documentation requirements as clearly as possible. It is standard practice for individuals moving to another country to submit certain forms that a moving company is not authorized to complete on one's behalf. We are reviewing internally what occurred regarding the transfer of contact information to our destination agent. However this did not result in any delays whatsoever to your shipment, which only arrived at the port today.
We accept multiple forms of payment including bank transfer, Zelle, direct deposit, and check. In order to protect our customers from high transaction fees, we do not accept credit or debit cards for final balances. These terms are stated in our shipping agreement. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are committed to improving and appreciate our customer's feedback.
I hope this addresses each of your concerns. Please feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss anything further.

I hired this company to help us move…
I hired this company to help us move from the United States to Uruguay back in December 2023. The reason why i write this review so late is because the issue with the motorcycle is now just solved. In the beginning everything seemed to go well.We spoke about all the items that we wanted to have shipped.Later i called with an employee of this company about shipping a motorcycle or even an car to Uruguay. The car he didn't recommend taking along because it would take to much space.Which i could see that it would. The day comes for picking up our belongings the motorcycle goes in the truck as well. The company that picked up our belongings also said it wouldn't be a big deal to ship in a motorcycle. SO stupid me i believed them and i never checked on the internet myself, because i think that's why you hire an company for, right?? Now the motorcycle was in the truck ,stood in storage in for 6 months got loaded in the container to Uruguay without papers and without a crate what they use when they normally ship motorcycles in. In june a got a call from the Uruguayan shipping company Uruvan .Is there is an toy motorcycle in the container? I told them no ,a full size motorcycle. Well international movers told them it was a toy motorcycle. It never stood on paper as a toy motorcycle. It was a motorcycle packed by them and loaded and it stood on the truck loading papers as a motorcycle , not a toy motorcycle. The two companies had contact with eachother
earlier but never even took the time to reach out to me.The motorcycle was shipped in without any official documents.I had no clue ,they told me they would take care of everything and i believed them.If i knew up front that it isn't allowed to ship in an motorcycle i would have never bothered. Once the motorcycle arrived here i almost got charged with smuggling. THANKS A LOT!! For me it was one big disaster , they never, never even mentioned that it is NOT ALLOWED to bring anything in that is motorized.I still have an email from another employee saying it IS allowed to bring a motorcycle into Uruguay and that it was my fault for not contacting the customs here and that it wasn't on the survey ,there were a lot of things that didn't come along and i spoke about everything but of course over de phone so how can you proof that??.What a BS!! It costed me alot of money ( roughly $10.000 )and a lot of stress and they absolutely didn't want to admit their fault. And they didn't want to pay for any of the cost that was involved in this. You are on your own when stuff like this happens! .I had to ship the motorcycle back to the USA from Uruguay .They did like it was nothing to ship it back to the US, there is a little bit more involved that just shipping it straight back in.I had to find my own people for receiving the motorcycle. It couldn't go back in my name as i am not a resident of the US. For me they had zero service and zero knowledge. GOOD advise for people who are going to move; better check yourself on the internet, don't rely on this company telling you something like i did. I absolutely wouldn't recommend that you work with this company. It is an disaster!!!! I did work before with another shipping company from the Netherlands to the U.S without any trouble but that was a small company that doesn't ship to south America .
I see that they replied that everything was self pack. When we spoke the first time we agreed; i would do the smaller items and the bigger items the company would do them .You can clearly see that on the packing list too.The bigger items are done by the carrier. What also strange was that the carrier told me we paid for full packing? You reply to this review that you offered the cheapest rate, you mean the full shipping rate back to the U.S?Because that's what it was , and again everything would be my responsibility and risk, so if anything would go wrong ,i would have trouble in the states too.I absolutely did not want that to happen.International movers didn't give me a good feeling about shipping it back and you wonder why? And to go back about that motorcycle not being included in the survey, i called about it and also about bringing our car, it wasn't mentioned it wasn't allowed to ship in motorized items.Your employee claims months later when the issue is going on here in Uruguay it is still allowed to bring in an motorcycle. IT ISN'T PERIOD!! You just CANNOT!! It should never have been put in the container, you could cleary see it was a motorcycle when is was put in the container. It never was packed properly. And for declaring it by customs what is there to the declare if is it ISN'T ALLOWED And if i have to declare myself ,why do i hire an moving company? Then i would be better just to rent a container with shipment for roughly 3000 and pay later the customs fees etc.Would be way cheaper to go that route. You hire an company so you get expertise and help.
Response from International Sea & Air ShippingMar 12, 2024
Dear Helena,
We are sorry to hear about these issues regarding shipping your motorcycle and that you had a negative experience while using our services.
Unfortunately, our team was never notified that you had a motorcycle in your shipment and therefore could not advise of the restrictions or requirements prior to pick up. As your shipping agreement was Self-Pack, it is the owner of the good's responsibility to pack and declare items in the shipment.
We are not claiming here that you could have shipped the motorcycle.
Shipping companies are not able to declare items to Customs and governmental agencies in other countries on behalf of customers, it is the customer's responsibility to do so. This is not unique to our company.
We conducted a virtual survey on November 8 to assess the contents of your shipment. At no point was a motorcycle shown to our surveyor nor reported to our team. This is why our contract was based on a 40ft container with household goods only.
We apologize if the crew had informed you differently on the day of pickup, and once we were notified of this we investigated immediately. Unfortunately, by this point, your items were already loaded and it was too late to remove the motorcycle. This is why we agreed to assist with reimporting the motorcycle back into the U.S. and offer the lowest possible price for destination services. However, you decided to utilize another provider.
We sincerely regret that you feel the process was mishandled during your move from the U.S. to Uruguay and any inconvenience caused.
