InstaworkReviews of instawork.com

They want to know everything about you, but will only post limited info and glowing reviews about themselves with no contact info or link to support; just a loop back to a marketing page with cut and pasted brand logos and alleged kudos and glowing testimonials. That’s not a legitimate job referral service, it’s a pfishing expedition.

This used to be a good company but lately all they are offering me is Iow paying jobs. If a job is posted paying above 100 it will say it's too soon for me to book. Then becomes unavailable and I can join the wait list. They continue to post jobs located in Ohio to my phone even though Ive updated my information and distance SEVERAL times a day. Oh yes I'm offered Dollar general assignments for 28 dollars and I can join the wait list.

I had high expectations for Instawork. I booked my first shift and needed to complete a prep call. After finishing the prep call, it was not marked as completed, which led to several additional prep calls. I received reminders to finish before a specified time, and once that time passed, I lost access to the shift. It would have been helpful for the system to identify any issues during the process.

I have a family member who uses the app to find jobs but the fact that he lives in Indiana and is traveling to Kentucky for jobs through the app was the first red flag. But, he claims it works for him. I signed up and then I deleted it. Then, I got emails from the app to keep adding information and that jobs were available so I signed up again. No jobs were available. You have to do a lot to be approved like add a photo of yourself, add your id’s and license and you have to record your face. You have to reach out to people and tell them “expect this text or call from an app called Instawork.” They want certificates but none can be expired though to me, expired certificates with a company name on it (when is also on your resume) are proof of your employment and it also proves that you have had experience as a reach truck driver, a stand up forklift operator and so on. I think expired and current certifications should be except as proof of job experience. My down fall with the site was having to give the app employer references. The site will allow you to select managers and supervisors all over the US (with a company) and you can pick an HR, a plant manager and a supervisor to verify your employment and those miserable assholes can ignore it. The fact that there is not a human providing customer service means that you’re just unverified. A human would think “okay these employers are miserable poop heads…obviously she works/worked there.” And a human customer service person could contact corporate and just ask if the person worked there. But because there is no communication and assistance, you can upload all your information and still not get one day jobs because of an employer refusing to verify your employment. Most times human beings at jobs know that a current employer might be petty so they won’t contact the current employer. But this is a “I just need an extra day or two of work” app which is great because working two jobs full time can wear you out. Because companies are listed on the app and you see the names and position of employers you select, I assume employers know this isn’t a full time job you’re trying to get. For a one day assignment, you have to go through a lot and your success isn’t based on your determination, you being resourceful or your skills. It’s based on the amount of support you can get from a current employer. But, I used a reference from a job I worked 2008-2013 and it was actually a former supervisor. The supervisor worked for the company so the app could have contacted the company because the number is listed online also…and they could have asked if me and my former supervisor worked there. But instead my reference was approved after the reference but the app said I needed to have more proof of employment and another reference. I deleted it again.

Awful company, scam, con artist the places that they send you to to work on to treat you like second rate citizens or slaves because they give less amount and pay and what they give their employees and more work to do than what they give their employees hard to get your money descriptions of shifts are incorrect. Somewhere to lie didn’t even wanna give them one star gonna report them to the Better Business Bureau too.

Well this company is very un professional. When you schedule a coach call about a job application. It's very unprofessional to cancel a coach call and it's going to tell me it's going to be rescheduled. And when I receive a call the coach call don't really do not identify who they are. And I had never ever seen no coach call is very unprofessional and when you have certifications like in the restaurant industry, the warehouse industry. To be honest it's very unprofessional that you have Coach calls and these coaches are making a falsified decision on people work ethic. And when you state that you going to disqualify me for a position for a job then you going to sit here and terminate all these other positions when you never spoke to me about it. so how is this possible that a coach can disqualify you for all these different jobs that you're applying for so that's not professional at all. and you cannot sit here and State that you can can do another coach call in 6 months. And specially when the person don't identify theirselfs who they are and be on the call for no more than 2 minutes so how is that possible. And you cannot even really reach customer service is very poor. When a coach call they supposed to be talking about that pacific application. And when a person feels like it wasn't right of how the call was conducted the person is required to have a new one. And like I said it was very unprofessional you cannot have a coach call within 2 minutes...... This just makes me believe that this company is horrible. But what I don't understand if you want good people to work with for your company you should treat them a lot better than what they're what you're doing. You need to get rid of those coach calls so you're not going to have anybody people that wants to work for this company. So clearly these coach calls are waste of time did not legitimate. And specially if people have those certifications on their profile why is it a coach is allowed to disqualify them for all these different positions that's not right and that's falsifying.

Company is full of shit. Of course you'll get an outsourced with a script (but you have to be booked into a shift & within certain hours of that shift) to "assist" you only to fight with you with kindness. They won't pay you on time even though they claim to have "sent the paycheck out". Over a solid year working for these asshats, sooner or later one of these contracting companies will hire & we'll leave this to die.
