This company does not care about their "Pros." They have lost multiple lawsuits due to thier misclassification of workers as independent contractors instead of employees. The support is a joke. Its an AI that will lie or 'transfer to a human that usually takes days. Instawork's product is their "pros," and the company treats them as such. They also have retaliation built in to their application. Should a medical emergency occur that causes a pro to no show they will restrict your access even if THEY approve the sick pay. This company preys on vulnerable hard workers and takes advantage of people who are already struggling. Do not use. Most companies I've talked to are shocked at the "Pro" experience and I believe most "Pros" would agree with what I have put here. Edit: oh and the reason why they have a 4 star on trust pilot is because they offer better access to shifts for "contributors" who post positive reviews. There's a leader board of everyone who contributed weekly.

Instawork doesn't have a working business phone number. While I stood inside of a Dollar General where I was scheduled to work, the app stated that I wasn't at the location. The manager was on vacation & the handheld device wouldn't allow me to clock-in. During this time I was at the Platinum status. I was then marked as a no-show & my account was suspended. I recorded it & posted it on my YouTube Channel. I had scheduled more than 1 Dollar General job on the same date within a walkable distance from one another. At more than 1 location, the employees & managers stated that they didn't know why I was there. The app didn't state the information so I was able to tell them, & Instawork doesn't have a working phone number so I couldn't call anyone. Instawork then suspended my account. 8/19/26, 8:43 AM: I'm about to see & record whether their listed Cleveland address, 600 Superior in Cleveland, Ohio is an actual Instawork address with employed human beings. I will record it & post it on my YouTube Channel. 8/19/26, 9:10 AM: 600 Superior Ave, Cleveland, OH is stated online as the Cleveland business office for Instawork. A security officer just told me that Instawork doesn't have an office here. If you need your social security card & driver's license verified for W-2 jobs, if you need to inform Instawork that you're standing inside of the building but unable to clock-in, if a business short-pays you, there isn't a human being within Instawork who will assist you because they don't exist. If they do, they don't want to assist the Instawork employees.

Systematic racism is practiced and prejudice people are in charge. The jobs are never distributed fairly. If you are a favorite (favorite = asskisser) you can make a lot of money as long as you stay in with the in crowd. If you have no desire to be a comrade they will book you for a shift that no one wants about 1 time every two weeks. Meanwhile the favorites call off persistently and only pick up the shifts that pay the most. The people making this hell hole function are the low life losers of Chicago. If this platform didn’t exist the managers and supervisors would continue to be drug dealers and prostitutes as they were before. The only good thing I have to say about this app is it’s all American. It’s not like the rest of the temp agencies that only hire immigrants and that’s a plus minus the bs behind the scenes.

I have suspended for absolutely no reason I have tried for several days now to get in contact with customer service over the issue no one has replied I'm missing money

I still have not received my pay from the first 3 shifts I worked! Horrible business this app is horrible because one wrong move and you blocked but I’ve been working and have not gotten paid. I’ve reached out to support 3 times still no help. They even say they have no record. Good thing I screenshot because I want my money I worked for. I will not be recommending this app to anyone ever. People work to get paid not for free.

Unpaid wages for completed shifts — support goes in circles Worked three shifts through Instawork (event server, Deloitte Vancouver via Sodexo) on May 20, 21, and 28, 2026 — total $558.44. The app marks all three as “paid,” but no funds ever arrived in my bank account. Over several weeks of contacting support, I was given at least three different explanations: payment “processed via ADP” on two separate dates, and a payment supposedly “issued via cheque.” None of it showed up, confirmed by my bank statement. Tickets were repeatedly closed and reopened by different agents with no resolution. A formal written demand for payment sent June 22 went unanswered past its deadline. I’ve now filed with the BC Employment Standards Branch and the Civil Resolution Tribunal. If you’re considering gig work through this platform, be aware payment issues appear to be a recurring problem, not a one-off.

Shitty management, with a false and disruptive "top pro" system that violates human rights and labor laws. Do not join unless you are a POS.
