Shameful Scam. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
1. Received a text that the mechanic would visit between 11am and 3pm. 2. At 3pm I phoned Car Fix. The agent said she would connect me with the mechanic. The mechanic did not answer. 3. At 3:05pm, I phoned Car Fix again. A different agent tried to convince me to reschedule; I refused and said that I wanted to cancel and be refunded. After several more attempts at trying to convince me to reschedule, he finally agreed and said that he would send me a cancellation form via text. I said that I would wait on the line until he sent it; he said he would need to hang up first. 4. Text arrived. It was not a cancellation form. It was an offer of a 10% discount if I rescheduled. I was invited to click Y or N. I clicked N. 5. Phoned Car Fix for the third time, and spoke with a different agent. Another series of attempts to convince me to reschedule. Ultimately told me that he would have to "speak to management" about a refund, and that I would receive a call back. There has been no call back. This company is a shameful scam. I am now working on a credit card dispute through my bank.
