Richard was the mechanic that came out today to determine why there was still leaking after the company had installed a new thermastat housing unit a week aho. Richard was on time and completely competent. He diagnosed the problem the previous mechanic created and provided a complete report. I would use him again and recommend without hesitation. Very competant!!! That said, the company itself engages in terrible business practices. They tried to ignore what he reported to them; that this was a bad installation job never completed by the previous mechanic. (Note - I submitted a review for that work by the same company a week ago, May 22, 2026 - that review can be read here at TP). The company told me I had to pay for another diagnostic fee to determine if this was a "part" or labor/service issue that would be covered under their 12 month warranty. Richard determined the thermastat housing was improperly installed, the o-ring on the vacuum pump needed to be replaced and that the hose to the thermastat housing unit was leaking some, The rep at the company wouldnt listen to Richard when he reported his finding in a phone call I heard. The rep litterally said those were small/minor service issues and kept bringing up that a new vacuum pump was needed. Richard made clear to the rep multiple times that wasnt correct...an o-rung was the only thing needed to stop the leak from the vacuum.pump. Despite all of that, the rep sends me an quote for a new vacuum pump. Immediately thereafter he sends a second quote in which he adds a new thermastat housing unit to the vacuum pump. The guise of making me pay for the second diagnostic session for the same problem that was performed today was for the compsny to determine if the part/service would be covered by their warranty, Instead, they want to make me purchase a 2nd new thermastat housing unit in the same week. Bottom line the original job was never completed and all of this should be covered at no cost to me under their 12 month parts and service warrantee. Deals with shady mechanics who use shady parts. Had a part replaced and under a year have to have it replaced again. Reached out about it and was threatened by them. Shady practices all around look them up with the better business bureau as I should have before having them service my vehicle.

As an independent contractor for this company, I would receive many job leads, but they seemed to never book me, because i would not quote them cheap enough price for labor, they would constantly ask me to quote a cheaper price for my labor. they would decline all of my quotes. finally on 4/23/2026, they booked me for a job (1 hour away). the app would not work, i never even finished onboarding because of their app. so the app wasnt working, therefore i could not complete anything in the app, there was an urgency as the customer needed their vehicle and their technicians didnt want to pick up the job or they would pick it up and cancel or not show up at all, without the app working, i decided to go do the job anyway, after completion, i wasn't paid for the job, after several calls and email, the management wont answer, nor return my calls or emails. i have original receipt from picking up the part, the core return receipt and proof from the customer that i showed up and completed the job. this company is very scammish, they hire people who aren't aware of the managements unprofessional processes. whether youre a technician or a customer needing service; do not deal with this company ! stay away!

I paid for an inverter coolant pump repair, 2 1/2 hours. When he got in, he said I had the wrong part so I went and bought a water pump, in which he replaced. I paid for an inverter Coolant pump repair and he on his end understood it to be a water pump to be repaired. I got the wrong piece repaired unnecessarily. He also did not have all his tools with him so he couldn’t get the job done as necessary. I had to go and give him money to go to the store to pick up a tool. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic and with your company because if I paid for one service that service should’ve been done, but somehow there was a communication error on yawls end and told him to do a water pump repair instead of an inverter coolant pump repair.

I contacted Instant Car Fix on a Saturday when I experienced car troubles while in a city 2 hours from my home with 2 of my kids. I was staying at a hotel for the weekend when my alternator went out. I did not want to pay the $200 fee to get a mechanic dispatched the same day and there was an option for an appointment between 11AM-3PM the next day (Sunday). Since we were going to be there most of the day on Sunday anyway, I selected this option. Instant Car Fix was supposed to call me 30 minutes prior to the mechanic arriving. Since I had not received a call by 2:30, I called the company who told me the mechanic had indicated that he would be there at 4pm and someone should have reached out to me. I informed them that no one reached out. When no one showed up by 4, I called back. They said the mechanic was stuck on another job and they were wondering if I could reschedule for the next day. I was really frustrated because I would have to pay for another night in the hotel and my kids and I would need to miss school/work on Monday, but I didn’t see that I had much of an option. The appointment time on Monday was the same window of 11AM to 3PM, but having learned my lesson the day prior, I started calling them early to find out when the mechanic would arrive. I got the run around from every person I spoke with. I was told they would contact the mechanic and call me back (no callback ever came), that they had to reissue my ticket (even though the situation had not changed since the first person I spoke with on Saturday), and finally that the mechanic wasn’t available so they were looking for a back-up mechanic for me. At this point, I gave up on them and started making plans to have the vehicle towed to a local shop to be fixed the following day and rented a car to drive my family home. When arrangements were made, I called Instant Car Fix back to say that since they didn’t come by 3PM, I didn’t need their service any longer. They said they had assigned a mechanic who would be there between 5:30-6:30PM, and if I was going to cancel, I would have to pay a cancellation fee. I informed them that they didn’t meet the terms of our agreement and they would not be charging me anything. They said it would be sent to the cancellations department who would deal with the matter. It’s now Tuesday, and while I haven’t had a charge on my card yet, I am watching for it. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO or you could be like me hanging out in a hotel lobby with two kids for two days waiting for a company to make good on their promises. Now that I’ve more carefully read others’ reviews on the shotty workmanship, I guess I should be grateful that the mechanic didn’t show. On the other hand, the customer service folks were nice even though they were unhelpful. I got at least 200 apologies over the last 2 days.

I had a mechanic scheduled and paid a fee to "expedite" service on a weekend. I received a notification that I was assigned a mechanic. Later that day, the mechanic had a personal issue (I completely understand) and could not keep the service appointment. After speaking on the phone with different people at ICF, I kept getting the run around when it came to assigning a mechanic. After 4 days, they suggested I submit my request for cancellation.....THEN CHARGED ME FULL PRICE TO CANCEL!!! It took multiple phone calls to management to get the topic resolved. Service was not provided. I even stated that I don't want to cancel that I just want the work done. That was clearly not something that ICF was interested in. I would not recommend going down this road.

Stay away! If 0 stars were possible they would get that. I requested a pre-purchase inspection service and received confirmation of scheduling for this service. Then no one showed up for the appointment time (all the while support would not answer or respond) and then they tried to send someone on Sunday outside of business hours a day after the scheduled service. Now two weeks later I get an email asking for a review and some random report not connected to the service or vehicle I requested at all.

I got my car battery replaced using instant car fix service yesterday. But today I saw the red battery sign on my dash. I took it to a shop close by, the mechanic said, oops whoever changed the battery is a novice and they messed up the alternator !!!! My car halted again :( 😞..... I can't drive if the alternator is not working... 😢 I reported this to them. If they can help me get it fixed, then I will consider giving higher rating here. Will see !!!!
