We went to pick our tent up at the NJ warehouse and there were two big building one with over 20 docks so we had no clue where to go then when we finally figured it out after going back and forth between the building and between docks we were informed that they don’t take pick ups after 4pm but ours was scheduled for 4:20pm. The man was very nice and graciously helped us get our item with driving from PA to get it. The tent is fair but quite tight and condensates with the pad and floor getting wet at times when it rains. It works pretty well overall though just don’t plan to store things in it. It would be great if inspired overland would give more details for picking up a tent at the warehouse and not schedule pick up times after 4pm which has been requested by the warehouse staff several times.

Overall, it was a good experience. I love my Carbonlite RTT and Carbon Fiber Crossbars. I appreciated the option of picking up my purchases at one of several warehouses located across the country to avoid shipping cost. On the negative side, I received two of the same item. I picked up one at City of Industry, CA while the same item was shipped to me. Not a big deal. When I informed the company of the mistake, they sent me a prepaid shipping label to return one of the items.

I haven't even put it on the vehicle yet, so I can't speak to it's durability and functionality, but it certainly looks sharp and the materials seem durable and of high quality. Ordering via the website was a breeze after downing a Modelo for liquid courage to place an expensive online order. I received an email from the shipping company saying they would follow up with me with a shipping number for the order, but they never did so. I was about to reach out to them about it the day the tent arrived though, so it was a pretty quick turnaround time that left me impressed for such a large item. (Ordered on 1/3 and received on 1/22). The lack of promised communication is about the only reason for 4 stars vs 5 at this point, but I definitely get that IO can only control so many aspects on that front. The box that the tent came in is some thick, double walled cardboard, so even though there was a good tear in the outer shell of the cardboard, when I opened everything up it was all in perfect condition. The last thing I will say having not used the tent yet, is that the folks at IO seem like they care about customer service quite a bit. My fun money funds aren't unlimited, so I had a lot of questions before ordering, and spent some time trading emails and making phone calls, and they were always extremely helpful and friendly in correspondance. I am now part of a Facebook group of IO tent owners and interested parties, and the company is very helpful and communicative on that platform as well. It gives me comfort to know that I can always reach out for help or questions when I think about a larger investment like this. I've got a goal of 20+ nights in this tent for 2025 and hope to give an updated review in a year's time, but for now I am one happy and excited customer!

I’m still waiting for my tent. Therefore, this review is about my experience ordering a tent. It has been great! There is timely feedback and they’ve done a good job with providing updates. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is they removed Dallas as an option for pickup requiring me to pay more to cover shipping. Otherwise, I like the company so far. The jury is out on the quality of the tent. It looks like a very nice design and I can’t wait to put it through its paces.

As a product the RTT is great and as expected. Recommendation on my end, I opted for the Local Pickup, and this is where the experience was a bit choppy. When I arrived, I did not realize I would be picking out at a local shipping warehouse (Not Inspired Overland). The Invoice Number was needed to pickup the order which was buried in my emails in an email that had a ton of other details which made it hard to find on my phone. The warehouse itself was not easy to find given it was surrounded by a bunch of other warehouses (Which makes sense), but it's not labeled well like other Commercial Properties. I arrived near closing since that was the only time I could make, which is what made fishing for all this information stressful. In short, I think more explicit instructions about what information needed on the day of. Like an quick email reminder of the main information that would be needed, and clear instructions / pictures of what the Warehouses look like so it is easy to find.

Delivery was fast and in good condition when received. Love the fact that it's very low profile and lightweight, great design but wished that they would add a rain fly to both sides for those rainy days. Set up time is so quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this tent to anyone who is on the go alot.

Shipping can be faster for suspension items

Received two tents, first one was damaged by the shipper and Inspired Overland's customer service was very good about sending me another one asap once I contacted them without issue. Second tent got lost in transit and I had to fight XPO for days trying to figure out where it was. The shipping company lied to me a bunch of times and to make a long story short I eventually got the tent but it arrived pretty scuffed up. Contacted customer service at Inspired Overland again and they reimbursed me which is great service. Hopefully once Inspired Overland is a bigger company they get as far away from XPO as possible cause it would have been so much better with another shipper. Look that shipper up on Trust Pilot/BBB if you wanna see for yourself.
