Great place to workout with very friendly staff! Saskatchewan!
I have only been working out here for a couple weeks so far and absolutely LOVE it here!! I have felt intimidated at other gyms, but I felt very welcomed by everyone here the moment I walked in. The workouts are so fun and the staff all have such high energy to keep you motivated and push you to push yourself just that little bit harder. I like that staff help you on your form during the bag rounds so I feel I improve at each class and can improve my speed and form. Definitely feel amazing after the bag rounds and conditioning!
If you are looking for a judgement free place to workout and have a BLAST I absolutely reccomend ILKB!!

Make sure they like you before you invest...
The classes were fun, but the support was not there. I went with a friend for the trial period and she had been a lot and knew the instructors so they were super helpful and I thought that it would always be like that. Not so much. After I purchased my 65 class package (which is not the one they want you to buy, but it was what I could afford), I went once a week for 3 months (All my schedule would allow). I may as well have been invisible. The instructors were chatting and helping everyone else, but very rarely came over to help/coach/encourage me. I'd go typically the same days - as my schedule allowed - but was not feeling like I was actually welcome. And then I found out they were never even entering in my classes. When I had reached out at one point to find out about a "challenge" they had (which would've cost an additional $250), it took 4 attempts and the manager contacting me on FB, stating she'll have someone call me, and I found they'd never documented I was there. (In retrospect I should have left it at the 65 classes, but I'm too honest and had them adjust to the correct number.) I always thought I'd go back, after all I spent over $700 on the classes, but I never got over the lack of support. I would see all the interaction in the FB groups, but I got the feeling of if you don't go 3-5 times a week, you're not worth the effort. Then I moved from VA Beach area (where there are 2 locations) to Maine - the nearest location is 3 hrs one way. I get that I signed a contract and paid in full for the classes, but after 2 years and the relocation I decided to ask about selling my classes - I had seen that fairly often on FB. So they told me the only way that would be possible is if I were there in person with the contract in hand to sign it over with the other person - and they don't keep a copy of the contract. Now, I must say, that rubs me the wrong way. If they don't keep the contract, how can they keep my money? And they actually would force me to travel 750 miles for a signature in person? That's insane. The VB area has tons of military, and I know that some had deployed/relocated and weren't forced to go in. It was a massive waste of money, I learned my lesson and I will forever have classes I can't use there, unless I'm travelling near a location, or if some (hopefully supportive) people open a location reasonably near by. And side note - they bribe people with new gloves if you write 5 star reviews, so that's why you see so many.

Beware!
When I signed up for classes at ILKB I purchased a package of 75 non-expiring classes. I then purchased more classes from an individual who was moving out of the area; ILKB Lake Grove successfully transferred these classes to my name.
Fast forward to January 1, 2020 when patrons of the Lake Grove location were informed the owner went bankrupt and the new owner will not honor classes purchased as a package. I and others like myself was informed Deer Park ILKB or Bay Shore ILKB would accept transfers and honor our classes. Upon my visit to the Deer Park location she informed me they would not accept my 101 remaining classes. That is over $1000 in kickboxing classes the franchise and studios refuse to honor.
If any of the ILKB locations allowed me to attend classes, I would not be occupying space that could be used for a member paying a monthly fee because the studios are not close to capacity, there are several empty bags. It appears more locations will be closing.
Beware before signing up with ILKB. There are non-franchise kickboxing studios that will give better service.

ILKB 6WC
The 6 week challenge requires dedication to the meal plan and to the kickboxing workouts! It’s worth the commitment to yourself. I lost 26 pounds and 6% body fat during this fitness challenge and this is only the beginning for me. The instructors are motivating and helpful for all levels of fitness attendees.

First time at any of these locations…amazing
First time at any of these locations and all I can say is it’s amazing! The warm-up is definitely the hardest part but in the end so much fun and rewarding. The staff is so friendly, motivating, and welcoming! I bought a groupon for four classes with my friend and we both decided we’re going to join their membership program just after the first class! I highly recommend and of course will be going back!!! :)
