the classes were fine, i signed up for 6 week and paid in full, unaware that my recent dx of having MS was going to complicate me doing the class. My dr said NO and when i tried to get my money backi was told each is ind. owned, I have no idea who the owners are at the Moore Oklahoma location and HQ is horrible. I would never had stepped foot in the place if i knew this was going to happen. I will tell everyone i know about this and believe me, I grew up in this town and I know a lot of people. they will all know your greed. Thank you

Thieves! Does not honor contract!
Scam! Thieves! Don't care about their clients! Avoids hundreds of calls and emails! No response! Leaves you hanging! The manager David has completely ghosted me! He has wasted so much of my time trying to get a hold of him and writing emails, now he's going to waste more of my time to take ILK to small claims court. He recorded our phone call, as did I, and I have provided all the documentation & medical notes needed to break my 1 year contract that I paid for upfront without hesitation. I went to maybe 5 classes when suddenly I needed an emergency surgery and could no longer punch for 6-12 months. Every punch was slowly damaging me, and I didn't know it til I blacked out and cracked my face open. They will screw you over! Highly recommend finding a company that keeps their word and honors their contracts. Horrible communication. Horrible management. AVOID ILK!!!

I had been an ILKB Chelsea member since…
I had been an ILKB Chelsea member since before 2019. During the pandemic, the gym shut down, and it hasn't reopened since. I still had dozens of classes on my account, and have been trying to get in touch about my refund options ever since. No numbers are in service, and the only email address for corporate that I have found gives a canned response: "Each ILOVEKICKBOXING location is individually owned and operated. ILOVEKICKBOXING Headquarters does not have access to or handle memberships or billing for any studio." Looks like they are intending to just keep my money!

Day one was a horrible experience and…
Day one was a horrible experience and the phone calls prior were worse. You can’t hear the caller and you end up with a headache by the end of the conversation.
Prior to the first booked class and receiving confirmation of a 5:15 class by email, we arrive 30 minutes prior as requested only to be told we cannot wait and had to return at 5:15 because class does not start until 5:45. No one EVER made mention of a 5:45 class.
We return at 5:20 for the now 5:45 class to be told we need to reschedule. Of course we resist because now the miscommunication on the part of ILKB is not even being acknowledged even after showing the email we received confirmed a 5:15 class
Luke was apologetic but this little girl Gabbi was very obnoxious, extremely rude, unprofessional and continued to insert her unsolicited feedback even when asking her to not speak to me. She even said she will call the cops but unbeknownst to her, I am the cops. I told her to go ahead as she continued to try kicking us out. She surely cannot be what you want to represent your entity as. Her behavior was extremely inappropriate as she offered no accommodation to what occurred.
We received calls from Cece and the manager Kristine to make scheduling arrangements and are extremely displeased with the entire process as well as the way your miscommunication was handled.
We will be requesting refunds and writing a more formal notice to your headquarters.
I would advise the local community to not partake in supporting this facility.

All they care about is your money
They make cancellation impossible! They throw all these cancellation policies at you that aren't stated anywhere in the contract and get snotty when you point that out. I have to dispute the charge with my credit card because they refuse to let me go despite following all the rules in the contract. The classes and instructors are great but their treatment of me when trying to leave spoiled the whole thing. I was only cancelling due to financial hardship and would have come back someday but I'll never go there again now. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Scam - don't join
Beware - this is a total scam. They were closed for months due to Covid restrictions but continued to charge our credit card. We called each month to get them to stop the charges but not only will they not refund the fraudulent charges, they won't stop charging without closing the accounts. They were not vigilant about cleaning before they were closed down and I would not consider it a safe place to work out now. If you join, you will be paying for nothing.

They don’t care about anything except money
I went there for the consultation and after telling me about the program, they tried to make me sign a membership on the first day. Then when I asked about the specials they had posted all over this sight to take 3 classes for about $25 , they told me they didn’t do that anymore (And that was the main reason I went there anyways). Anyway, I signed a contract for 6 months and left. But when I got home, I crunched some numbers and I realize I wouldn’t be able to actually afford the classes so I called them back within 2 hours and told them I changed my mind and to please cancel it. No answer. I emailed, no answer. I texted them. No answer. I went in the next day to talk to them and they kept trying to bribe me to keep the membership and kept telling me to think about it and come back later with a decision. So after all the back and forth, I had already paid the first month’s fee so I took a few classes for the month. It wasn’t until the middle of the month that they gave me the email address to cancel. And then they told me I had to pay the monthly fee as well as $200 cancellation fee in order to cancel. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT MONEY!

Make sure they like you before you invest...
The classes were fun, but the support was not there. I went with a friend for the trial period and she had been a lot and knew the instructors so they were super helpful and I thought that it would always be like that. Not so much. After I purchased my 65 class package (which is not the one they want you to buy, but it was what I could afford), I went once a week for 3 months (All my schedule would allow). I may as well have been invisible. The instructors were chatting and helping everyone else, but very rarely came over to help/coach/encourage me. I'd go typically the same days - as my schedule allowed - but was not feeling like I was actually welcome. And then I found out they were never even entering in my classes. When I had reached out at one point to find out about a "challenge" they had (which would've cost an additional $250), it took 4 attempts and the manager contacting me on FB, stating she'll have someone call me, and I found they'd never documented I was there. (In retrospect I should have left it at the 65 classes, but I'm too honest and had them adjust to the correct number.) I always thought I'd go back, after all I spent over $700 on the classes, but I never got over the lack of support. I would see all the interaction in the FB groups, but I got the feeling of if you don't go 3-5 times a week, you're not worth the effort. Then I moved from VA Beach area (where there are 2 locations) to Maine - the nearest location is 3 hrs one way. I get that I signed a contract and paid in full for the classes, but after 2 years and the relocation I decided to ask about selling my classes - I had seen that fairly often on FB. So they told me the only way that would be possible is if I were there in person with the contract in hand to sign it over with the other person - and they don't keep a copy of the contract. Now, I must say, that rubs me the wrong way. If they don't keep the contract, how can they keep my money? And they actually would force me to travel 750 miles for a signature in person? That's insane. The VB area has tons of military, and I know that some had deployed/relocated and weren't forced to go in. It was a massive waste of money, I learned my lesson and I will forever have classes I can't use there, unless I'm travelling near a location, or if some (hopefully supportive) people open a location reasonably near by. And side note - they bribe people with new gloves if you write 5 star reviews, so that's why you see so many.
