“ilovehue” is a Los Angeles based lighting company that exists to help you use the hue of your home lighting to your advantage. To have your environment work for you, not against you. We spend so much time blasting blue light into our faces with our phones and TV’s. Studies have shown this can have negative effects on our bodies melatonin production and increase cortisol (our stress hormone). It is important to us to make others aware the way light affects our mind and body. We also provide lighting solutions that can be conducive to a more relaxing environment, utilizing warm relaxing tones that do not trigger such a high cortisol response. Our lighting is ideal for a relaxing evening in your sanctuary.

I wish I would have found these reviews before I ordered. Just know that this product is not coming from L.A., but is shipped from Yanwen. Cheap plastic, though if you click on specs it does say molded ABS, so that was my bad for assuming “luxury” meant glass. Shipping will take weeks, and the product, no matter how little you paid for it, isn’t worth it. It amuses me that someone went through the trouble to respond to every hideous review, but technically what they say in response is accurate. So there’s that. I’m still a sucker for falling for it. Won’t make that mistake again.

Terrible company
Terrible company, and their products are extremely cheap. Their mushroom lamps are flimsy, made of cheap plastic, and instead of a bulb have cheap LED strips that don't work.

Do you see a pattern developing here?
I ordered a lamp for my wife's birthday more than a month in advance of said birthday. Weeks went by. No lamp and no response from the company. I sent an email marked "URGENT" to ask for an eta. They said they'd check into it. A few days before my wife's birthday, I sent another email with the subject line "PLEASE CANCEL ORDER" and was notified that it could not be canceled and that "sale items could not be returned." I was able to find a larger, better lamp on Amazon that was shipped overnight in time for her birthday. 3 weeks later the package arrived (7 weeks total) and the product quality was inferior, there was no USB cord, no LED bulb, and no instructions of any kind. Only then (and I have learned my lesson) did I go on Trustpilot to see if others had the same problems, which, of course, many have. I have asked them for a "courtesy refund" as many of their vociferous responses to dissatisfied customers on this site were instructed to do. I'll come back here and report their response to my request.

This company takes your payment but…
This company takes your payment but does not fulfill them. It's been 25 days since placing the order but they don't respond to your emails.
I have contacted them multiple times about this but no response. They responded once saying "Contacting courier".
Please stay away from this scam company.

Scam on return policy!
I purchased a lamp at what seemed to be full price. When the lamp arrived, it seemed cheap and like one I could have bought for 1/3 of the price on Amazon. I just didn't like it. When I asked about returning, they informed me because it was on sale that I couldn't return it, because I had purchased it at a significant discount. NOWHERE was this listed when I purchased the lamp, that it was a final sale. I went back to the website and it says everything is 50% off. There is nothing listed on their current website that implies purchasing their products at 50% off is a final sale. And is that a sale if everything is *always* the same sale price? Customer service is not replying to my emails. DO NOT PURCHASE from this company.

Hi! This is actually clearly stated on every single page of our website in the footer here in our refund policy. Not sure if you are reviewing the correct business or not.

$140 PLASTIC LAMPS SCAM!!!!!!!
Terrible company, falsely advertising items as luxury and their lamps are literally plastic. You can buy the same mushroom lamp on amazon for cheaper and they actually offer returns. This scam of a company claims to have limited stock to pressure you into buying and list items on sale when they have a warehouse full and the “sale” is just so you CANNOT RETURN the item. DO NOT SHOP HERE - customer service was also highly unaccommodating with the poor experience, Its all a ploy to have you spend too much money on fake ass stuff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hi, our products are not "fake" and our stock identifiers on our site are legitimate, though they can have a discrepancy from the actual stock depending on order cancellations.
Additionally the materials our products are constructed with are clearly stated in the descriptions of each product, and there are no false claims. Our product photos are also done in our own studios and accurately depict the products.
When you choose to shop with a specific merchant you are subject to their policies, (such as the ineligibility of on sale items for return) which are clearly stated on our website. If you dislike this policy, our pricing, or the materials of the products, (which are all stated on our website) then you are not required to purchase our products.
Please reach out to [email protected] again and tell them the trust pilot team sent you, and we will give you a courtesy refund for your bad experience.

STAY AWAY - SCAM - scammy drop shippers
This company taught me to look at reviews first before purchasing. SCAM. I ordered two lamps, saw how cheap they were and wanted to return the day I received them. They told me I can return- but I have to send it to that long address in China. I’m confused, the website says they’re Los Angeles based. I’m even more confused because they don’t tell you their return shipping is anywhere in China and not LA or even America. I tell them they can’t do that- they don’t warn users about anything. Their website lies. They told me they’ll talk to their ‘fulfillment team’. Apparently now after days of waiting again and following up, they said they can’t do a return because the items I bought were on sale. Well guess what, their website is perpetually in a sale every single day. So now it’s impossible to return.
Eventually I found out they are using a company called Shopify. I tried reaching out to their customer service, which seems to only help people who operate a business through them. When I finally did reach a person after days of trying, they told me to dispute my claim so that’s what I did. I provided all the information to my bank, and they built a case and I got my refund that way.
I have asked ilovehue for their business address several times, as well as the name of the person I was communicating with. Without that info it makes it hard to report a company that scams people. They have not answered any emails of mine asking for their business address.
I genuinely believe any good review on this company has been made by them to hide how awful they are.
STAY AWAY!!

I have reached out and my emails have been ignored. I was told I can have a refund and then denied. Your website is forever in a sale making it impossible to return any items. I have all the evidence I need for this issue, including your response now.
Following up again. Reached out about this “ensuring” I’ll get a courtesy refund and never heard back! Lol

Hi, items significantly discounted being non-returnable is common practice among e-commerce merchants. Additionally, it does not matter if items are still on sale, as you would be ineligible for return regardless as it only matters if the items were purchased on sale specifically.
Regarding our return address originally provided, this was a mistake by our customer service team, as your items were not returnable.
We provide a 10-year warranty on all of our items, and we also provide free shipping protection for items damaged in transit.
Regarding you disputing the charge with your bank, they may have credited the balance but it typically takes 90 days to resolve these claims, and we will provide our evidence as well, including the tracking information showing it was delivered as well as our policies.
Additionally to your fake review claims, Shopify has a strict review policy and all of our reviews are verified and authentic.
While it may be frustrating, It is categorically false to claim we are a "scam" just because our policy did not align with your desire to return ineligible items.
Many times we provide a courtesy refund in situations like these, and if you reach back out to our customer service and tell them that, I will ensure you get one.
Thank you for your feedback!

Scam, non-U.S.-based company
Trash. Received lamp, which leans sideways and has a very dim light. When asked for return address, was told by this supposedly "LA-based" company to return to: 3rd Floor, Building 2, Baiwei Industrial Park, No. 170, Xiangshan Road, Qinghuang Village, Qingxi Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province (enter from the main door and keep to the left). SCAM. Do not order from this company.
Update 10/1/2024: The lamp now does not turn on at all. Regardless, prior to this I disputed the transaction with AmEx, who credited my account, resolving it that way. If all else fails (which it will with this company, contact your credit card company for resolution.
