Let me first start by saying the earrings you made for me are not only beautiful ......but of coarse, perfect. I know you and your family make much more elaborate pieces and have people spending gobs more money with you than us. The part that really, actually touches me is that you remember little old us. When my husband blindly called with (sort of) an idea, he told me you jumped right in and remembered the ring you did for me EXACTLY! That to me is as special as the gift itself. The thought that went into those earrings and that both of you worked on them....and of coarse that I have my own special "jewelry angel" who actually knows me so well (that would be you!) Again, I am not one of those "big clients" you have. You hear from us probably every five years for a sentimental purchase. Yet you treat us like we are there all the time! I will finish by saying when he gave me the earrings I was stunned at that thought.......but when I saw the inside of the jewelry box with I.D. My sister has worked for a company in Manhattan for several years where she had a lot of exposure to and experience working with diamonds. In other words, she "knows" diamonds. Therefore, when she recommended Yekutiel of I.D. Jewelry, I did not hesitate to have him be my only jeweler for one of the most important days of my life (or anyone's for that matter) - the day they get engaged! Like most people, I have very basic knowledge of diamonds and therefore did my own research. I then proceeded to ask Yekutiel various wide-ranging questions about color and clarity, the effect of fluorescence on pricing, diamond measurements, characteristics of fire versus brilliance, ideal girdle thickness, etc. He took time to take my calls and responded promptly to my questions. The diamond he ultimately chose for me was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Due to scheduling constraints, I did not travel to New York to see the diamond in person. Initially, I had reservations about making a substantial purchase based on pictures alone. But since my sister completely trusted Yekutiel, so did I. By the way, she has recommended several family and friends to purchase their engagement rings and other jewelry pieces from I.D. Jewelry. Regarding my diamond purchase, the pictures and videos I was sent did not do the diamond justice. I was already blown away by the pictures, so you can imagine my reaction when I saw the ring in person. When I received the ring in a few short days, I was stunned. It sparkled like no other. It seemed like it was on fire and like it was dancing right in front of my eyes. I looked at it under different lighting conditions (inside, outside in a shaded area, outside under direct sunlight) and was very pleased with the results. I cannot wait for the day I get engaged! My future fiancé will be very very happy. Do not hesitate to contact Yekutiel and I.D. Jewelry and have them assist you with one of your most important symbolic life purchases. You will not get the same level of service and product expertise from say, Blue Nile. I did use their app to get an idea of market pricing and also get basic education about diamonds. However, overall I am extremely happy with my decision to get our diamond from I.D. Jewelry! P.S. I usually shop around first and ask for quotes from multiple vendors before making a significant purchase. Hence, a small part of me wondered if I should have called around first. Obviously, my decision to go straight to I.D. Jewelry paid off. It was actually only AFTER I purchased the ring that I went on Yelp to check out the company's rating. Lo and behold - 35 five star reviews! I was not surprised. Thank you Yekutiel and I.D. Jewelry! I know we will love this ring for many years to come!!!
