I was in a terrible place mentally when I realized I would need time off of work to get well. My local Healthcare system is overworked and getting in to see someone takes months, and I would still be gambling on getting a provider that understood my issues and supported my need for leave. HealthSource Medical removed all of those frustrations and the anxiety I felt building up because of what seemed like a hopeless situation. I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Sally Sartin, someone who was patient and empathetic to my needs. She certified my FMLA/STD paperwork and I was approved for both. It has been very easy on me and made this whole process so much better for my mental health. I have not had to ask for recertifications or updates for my STD claim yet, but I feel confident that she will take good care of whatever I may need (potentially having to pay a smaller followup appointment fee I think). For anyone looking to use a service like this, I can attest it is absolutely legit. My only advice is to try making it as painless on them as they do on you, be very thorough about answering intake questions about your condition(s), the full list of symptoms and severity, how it impacts your ability to perform your job, etc. And if you put a payment method on file, be prepared for it to get charged the remainder of the cost of service automatically after your appointment. They have consistently been helpful and eager to assist with any questions I had. Dr. Sally was very accommodating and punctual, which I truly appreciated.
