The offer to buy our car for the full asking price in cash sounded too good to be true. So I was a bit suspicious. This was followed by a request to purchase a vehicle report from the website hpiinfo.com which he would reimburse us for when he came to purchase the car. Hpiinfo was flagged as a scam by the safety software on my computer. The caller's name- 'Kevin' had a foreign accent which didn't ring true. Thankfully we decided not to proceed with his request which pissed him off. Phew!

Exact same as reports below. Total scammer call.

I man called Kevin Hart, called me querying about my car, he said the same to the other comments here, he has a pregnant wife and wants to buy the car, insist on to pay the motor check on HPIINFO, this is a SCAM, keep eye on it!!!

I had a call from someone a few weeks ago claiming to be Kevin with a pregnant wife and needed a car urgently. He then would not proceed with viewing the car unless I purchased the hpiinfo report. Today I received a call from +353 (61) 531 393 with the email brenttstone88@ gmail.com who again wanted the car but would not accept a cartell history check and has sent me another hpiinfo link saying I need to fill this one out. Complete scam

Total Scam Same as other reports Pregnant wife etc needed a car asap I logged onto the site and then said if he was interested come and look at the car but I was not going get a HPI check. He hung up. He was convincing but thankfully I didn't go through with the transaction. Run a mile!

Another 'Olivia Harriet' call today. Would love to buy my car if I could just buy from hpiinfo.com. I could here a man behind her telling her what to say. Absolute wasters

Just got scammed for the same thing everyone else is saying in reviews. Had a strange feeling but didn't check reviews until after coming off the phone. Paid £23.99 for car check and was given an email address to send it to.

Much the same as the others was contacted by Olivia Harriet by phone interest in coming to see my car. Suggested 10 am the following day. Then in a follow up email oliviaharriet073#gmail.com said she required a report from HPIINFO.COM This shows as a website for checking uk cars. I sent her the car info Milage, recalls, tax, NCT dates etc in text only, said she could see the hard copies when inspecting the car. Heard nothing since. Yes it’s a scam
