Horton BrassesReviews of horton-brasses.com

I am a professional and have been doing business with Horton for many years. They are great people and easy to work with. The fit and finish of their hardware is always spot on.

Had obscure parts - bed bolts, wrench, and bolt covers. Very high quality, very fast response.

I have used Horton Brasses hinges, catches, and knobs on several projects. The fit and finish is always first rate. The hardware is the jewelry of the project, and so it must be commensurate in quality and style to the project. Horton has never disappointed. The hinges operate smoothly and with no slop. Most every hinge set I have ordered ships with steel and brass screws; steel to fit the hinge and brass for the final installation after fitting. The wide selection of finishes makes it easy to select a finish of the hardware that is perfect for the type of project i am doing. Shipments are timely, and complete. Their customer service/support staff is first rate!

I'll be honest. I tried to cheap out and buy hinges and a catch from the big box store for a nice dart board cabinet that I built from a Woodsmith Shop plan. To make a long story (it really is long) I wasted my money, "saving money" and ended up buying from Horton after all. I knew better, but had to be reminded. Good quality hardware costs a bit more money, but it's honest money. The hinges and catch were 100x better that what I could get locally and pay my project he respect that it deserved. Why would I spent 20 hours building something, staining, applying glazing and then multiple coats of lacquer and then finish it off with $2.99 hinges that look awful and don't match the (beyond) flimsy $5.99 catch? Answer: I wouldn't. As a bonus my order shipped out immediately and being in MA I got it within 48 hours.

I've always found Horton Brasses to deliver a high quality product. I'm not a professional woodworker, but I love to make high end furniture. I always turn to Horton for high quality brass to go along with my furniture. I have recommended them a number of times to my friends.

While I only order from Horton a couple of times a year, I have received excellent service and their products are great quality. Their online ordering process works great, good feedback as to order status, and fairly quick turnaround on delivery. Last year when I encountered a broken internal spring on a lock mechanism, they responded quickly to my phone call and send a replacement out ASAP. No hassles or problems. I like doing business with this company.

I've never understood why anyone would put personal time and effort into a project, only to save a few bucks and install poor quality home center or chain store hardware. Hardware is purchased only once, and either enjoyed or detested as long as it's in place. Why not start with the best for your efforts? Horton always provides me with top quality stuff, a quality level that is hard to find today. The service is top notch, too... All contacts are answered by folks who are principles at the company and know the products inside and out, not call center operators. They're fast, too! Most orders are filled and shipped the same day.

I am a custom furniture maker. My jobs often require high quality period hardware and Horton Brasses is always my first choice. Who else will provide steel screws for pre-hanging doors on butt hinges? The hinges are GREAT, by the way! I have used numerous other items from Horton and have always been happy with quality, service, and price. Great people, great products.
