It's sad that most people only leave a review when they have had a bad experience with a company. I have had nothing but exceptional service with Horizon Hobby and when I've had issues, they do everything to get things fixed in the fastest manner possible. My first issue was with my Spektrum iX14+ Transmitter. I would load a plane and within a minute of take-off, I would get the black screen of death. Luckily, I would still have control of the plane but had no visual contact with the screen. I went through the initial bot chat line (which I must admit can be frustrating) and within the hour, a customer service representative contacted me via email and started assessing the issue. Later that day, I was told that I needed to return the transmitter so they could determine what the issue was. I sent it in and as soon as they received it, the technician exported all my models and then performed a Factory Reset on the Android system. Once that was completed, he connected to their wifi network, updated several apps, re-installed Airware and then imported my models back into the transmitter. After completing the repair, he created a new Test Model and bound it to a receiver to check the RF output, gimbal calibration and made sure all the trims and switches were working correctly. They sent it back to me and I haven’t had an issue with it since. Thank you very much Dan and Mike. You guys are awesome! My most recent issue that I had was with 2 Arrma Vorteks trucks that both were experiencing some sort of short between the ESC and motor. Occasionally, they would just stop running but if I wiggled the wires between the two, I could get them to run again but would continue to intermittently lose power. I contacted support in the same manner as before and had customer service promptly respond and they are sending me two new ESC’s to correct the issue. I don’t know why other people are experiencing so many issues. The two times I’ve had to contact them, they have been very quick to respond and have corrected the issues, no questions asked. I have worked with and for companies that I admit have had poor customer service/tech support and I have to say that Horizon Hobby’s service and support is second to none.
