Horizon HobbyReviews of horizonhobby.com

This company is a complete joke. They cater to internal customers over USA customers and disabled veterans!! I had a min order and they refused to deal with me for my customer no hobby store around my whole area!! Jow Ballard is a joke and does not follow his own rules of the company

Would rate lower if I could. Been buying horizon products forever and whenever theres been a problem they've never been there to support their product. Today I called about a discontinued plane that I bought a few years ago. They still carry parts, but won't replace the "flawed in manufacturing " part without the original sales reciept from three years ago.(which of course I no longer have.) The aircraft is a Carbon Z Yak 54 as3x and I paid around $500 for it when i bought it and just assembled it now. Only half of the aileron hinges are glued in and the ones that are glued now need to be removed to get the not glued ones in. This is the quality you get for $500! I have about 25 airplanes and 2 radios from these hucksters. I'll now buy from HK or anyone else only. If Horizon is the only one that has it.......... i don't need it! Save yourself some money and frustration and buy from anyone but Horizon.

Support hilft überhaupt nicht. Bekomme nichtmal ein 2€ Plastikteil kostenlos, welches von Werk kaputt war

I bought a new transmitter from them that could not be programmed with an apple computer. There was no indication of this in the description. I wanted to send it back and spend another 120.00 for a different transmitter and they refused.😆

Been a loyal Spektrum, losi, otherwise horizon hobby product loyal for better part of 15 years. I recently purchased an 800 dollar dx6r missing the charging flap. Some clown named Rick from horizon couldn't care less, and was prepared to charge me top dollar for the product and shipping from the US, mind you a part no bigger than a dime. I loved the products but slowly boycotting them in favor of futaba and traxxas kits - as much as I loved losi, eflight, spektrum this really disgruntled me to the core.

I must totally agree with the last review dating two days ago, sorry to have forgotten his name. I try or tried to program the AR636 into Safe mode. The instruction manual says that i can use any channel from 5 to 9 use if they are free. Tough luck! They do not say how. I am using the Spektrum Programmer 3.3 and find no possibility to do it. HH sinks way below Hobby King, (The manual refers to Thunderbird F-16). Should anybody have a solution for me, I would gratefully accept it.

HH used to be such a great company, when it was employee owned. Now, CS sucks, shipping sucks, and non one knows what is going on. They recycle the same concepts every so often, generally pushing lower quality gear for the same price than they used to sell. They once championed Spektrum radios, one TX to rule them all, but now they hock cheap proprietary tx's with all their kit. Gone are the days of "Bind-and-fly" or "Bind-and-drive". Worst thing, they are quickly becoming a monopoly in the business, even though they were always dominant in the US market. This is a classic example of a company that is only growing via acquisition, not organic growth, and they are failing to consolidate the previously independent entities into a cohesive whole.
