Horizon HobbyReviews of horizonhobby.com

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering a Timber x Night Flyer from them. 2 days after order I got its shipped responce. A week later its still not showing anywere and they are not responding to phone calls, emailes or via their contact us page. Avoid at all costs. I am looking into cancelling via paypal and ordering something else. What a shame as the products are good.

When I started doing business with Horizon Hobby years ago, they were responsive and helpful. They now seem to spend their entire budget on marketing; I get emails almost daily on new products and trade shows. They no longer answer their phones, it takes weeks to respond to emails and their Tech Service people are not nearly as helpful as they used to be. I'm done doing business with them and will be looking for a new RC company to do business with.

You won't have any luck with customer service telling you anything about backorders. If you are lucky enough to use computer chat, you won't get anywhere either. Stay away.

So if you need parts for a model you cannot get what you need to complete the model. My question to them was.If I buy anew model can I return the part I bought since you do not have them for sale. ( not out of stock) They would allow you to return but you must pay the freight which is the same or more than you spent on parts. It is ridiculous to me. I rather buy from serious companies like Motion RC The model in question is the SU30. I spent over 340 dollars in parts and I can’t finish the plane to be able to fly it. Missing reverse servos that failed, and other parts which are not included in the fuselage such as the the nose gear which broke. Ventral fins as well....

This is the worst company ive ever dealt with! Very rude and will take weeks to get in touch through email or phone.... do not use them

I need to have an account on the Spectrumrc website in order to download firmware updates. I registered following their instructions. Could not login (unable to login) message. Duh!! couple emails to support get you a couple of automated replies citing ticket numbers, but no way to check on them. I spent a very large amount of money on RC gear for a large Heli. I cannot use it because it requires a firmware upgrade which I cannot access. This is a website issue, presumably with web people versed in internet support. Where are they? not a peep. I really wish I had found this site before deciding to give them my money. I feel like a fool. Hope I can return everything to my dealer. Very bad aftertaste here!

purchased several AR8010T Spektrum radio airplane receivers only to find them defective and unable to get any support from them. No phone support and the chat support is so poor and no one ever picks up the session. I would stay away from any of the products they sell because of this. They supply a lot of hobby stores so you're going to get bad hardware if your hobby store useses them for parts as mine does

I will never ever again use this website. I placed an order with them and four days later, though they were quite eager to charge me for it, I have yet to even receive so much as an order confirmation. There is no info on the website either, nowhere to check the order status or cancel or get information about anything. Called customer service hours ago and am still sitting here waiting. Meanwhile there's a $500 hole in my wallet I may never hear about again. These people are criminals.
