You didn't tell me it was gonna cost a 180 dollars
Response from Hone HealthMay 23, 2025
Hey Ryan, everybody’s treatment plan is different, and that means prices will always be different from patient to patient. A lot of this has to do with dosages and the level of treatment you receive. It’s difficult to know a patient’s cost until they’ve had a consult to review labs and symptoms with a doctor. If you need any further clarity or would like payment help, please reach out to the Care Team: HoneHealth.com/CareTeam

Beware of the membership pricing. After I paid $60 for my labs and initial consultation I could only proceed if I wanted to pay $149 a month in membership fees plus the cost of medications. The basic membership they promote for $25 doesn't cover anything that you will need. I find this shameful since they say they want to help all women. It seems like only rich women can benefit from their help. Stay away.
Response from Hone HealthMay 21, 2025
Hey Kristen, we’re sorry for any confusion, but there’s nothing to beware of. Our membership pricing is promoted on our main marketing site at HoneHealth.com The membership covers advanced lab panels every 3-month, nearly an hour follow up consult every 3-months, non-routine doctor visits when necessary, free shipping, and access to the Care Team. That’s a tremendous value for $149/mo, but we understand if membership services aren’t the best option for everyone. We wish you the best of luck finding the Care you’re seeking!

Customer service is pretty subpar and takes forever to respond. There are no phone numbers to call and I sent a text message to the number on the website and never heard back. Doctor consultations feel super rushed like they can't get off the meeting fast enough. I took about 15 minutes to fill out the pre-appointment forms and it was clear that the doctor didn't review any of my notes. The membership and medication are both overpriced. If you do sign up with Hone, make sure to ask that they send your medication to your pharmacy - you'll get much better deals even without insurance.

Hey Doug, shoot me an email, I'd love to hear more about your experience. The Care Team should be much more attentive and typically should get back to you within a day (usually much faster). Hone isn't cheap, but compared to traditional health care models, we're much more affordable for the regular care we provide over your lifetime. Doctor consults should be closer to an hour long, and should always be an opportunity to get a comprehensive breakdown of your health. I'll make sure you get a new consult ASAP + we get you on track with the Care Team for better assistance going forward!

I was trying to review what I paid for already. Yet not able to view the results without paying. It makes me weary to proceed further.
Response from Hone HealthMay 13, 2025
Hey Rachel, the only way to get results is by purchasing labs from Hone. If you did that, then you will have lifetime access to your labs + a doctor consult to review them. There's nothing further you need to purchase beyond the initial $60 payment unless you decide to receive treatment from Hone. If you're having trouble accessing your labs, please just message the Care Team who can help: HoneHealth.com/CareTeam You can also feel free to email me at [email protected]

Late to the appointment by about 15-20 mins and appeared to just get out of bed as he was using a towel to cover his upper half. Was yawning throughout the interview.

Why do I have to do blood work again when I just went in to send it to you in the first place. Also to expensive who can afford $250 a month for one medication. I am going back to a Dr I can see in person and actually get a hold of in a timely manner.

It sounds like you might be referencing a confirmatory lab, which is something all patients must complete before beginning treatment. The requirement for a confirmatory test is part of Hone's commitment to ensuring safe and effective treatment. Here are the main reasons for this additional test: Compliance with Guidelines: The American Urological Association recommends a second consecutive test to confirm low testosterone levels before beginning treatment. This ensures that your initial test wasn't an anomaly and that treatment is necessary. Health Safety: The confirmatory test checks for potential health conditions that might pose risks when starting Testosterone Replacement Therapy. It includes testing for PSA, Prolactin, and Hematocrit levels. These steps are in place to provide the highest quality of care and ensure that treatment is both safe and effective. If you have further questions or need assistance, please reach out to Hone's Care Team at HoneHealth.com/CareTeam. The membership covers advanced blood panels every 3-months, doctor visits every 3-months, non-routine doctor consults when necessary, free shipping of all medications, and access to the Care Team. The membership isn’t cheap by any means, but even with insurance the cost of the above is typically much more out of pocket with a PCP — and that’s only if they would even consider hormone treatment as an option. Our Care Team has been in touch, but if you’d like more help or to get connected to someone else, you can email me at [email protected]

While I appreciate that the consultation ultimately achieved its purpose in establishing a treatment plan, I found the experience somewhat lacking in terms of engagement. The interaction felt quite brief and transactional, rather than the personable and collaborative conversation I was hoping for. Given the cost of the membership, I sincerely hope that future consultations will offer a more in-depth and patient-centered approach.
