I fell for the advertised $60.00 start up fee, with the promise that I could use a preferred pharmacy, have my labs done at a local covered location, see a physician for the initial consultation with the initial rx. I had my labs completed using my personal insurance, visited with the nicest physician, who was knowledgeable and wired my initial prescription to my local pharmacy as i advised her that I did not want to sign up for the minimum monthly fee of 149.00 plus cost of medicine. I asked how much the cash price for the 3 month follow up would be and we talked through using a healthcare spending account to pay for the follow up consult. When I went to pick up my meds, the pharmacy did not have the rx and when Hone Health was contacted, i was advised that they would not release the rx to my local pharmacy until i paid the 149.00 fee and sign up for the membership. I advised that this was misleading and disappointing and was offered 1/2 off for the first month, but that i would need to continue to pay 1800.00 yearly and that would not include the rx for progesterone, unless i want to pay even more. For many with unlimited funds, this is a great program...but for those of us with good insurance and not a lot of disposable income, this is not feasible, more importantly...not what I expected in the original advertisement and promise of care.

Hi Sarah, we're sorry for the confusion here, and thanks for the feedback. I think we can always improve with communication and how we promote our service, so I promise we hear you! The initial purchase is for a comprehensive lab panel + doctor consult. The lab panel covers 50 biomarkers, and the cost of that from our competitors (who don't include a consult) will run someone at least a couple hundred dollars, instead of the $60 Hone charges. Hone also doesn't gate keep your labs, so you're free to take them with you to another provider. The thing is, you'll likely learn fast just how expensive treatment can get outside of Hone. Let me do a better job explaining the value of our membership: In order to receive the types of treatments and prescriptions that Hone offers, a certain level of care is necessary. The membership covers all aspects of this care, including advanced lab panels and comprehensive doctor visits every 3 months, non-routine doctor visits when necessary, free 2-day shipping on all orders, access to the Care Team, and private access to Hone's online member community. Routine lab work and doctor visits every three months are something any reputable healthcare provider will require to receive treatment. Although the above membership isn't cheap, it's much more affordable and convenient than traditional healthcare. Typically, you'll have to jump through some hoops to see a specialist who 'might' submit a lab order that covers the depth of Hone's advanced panels. If they do, the cost of those labs (even with insurance) will most likely be hundreds of dollars. Even then, if your doctor is willing to prescribe the level of precision medication that Hone offers, the cost of those treatments (once again, even with insurance) will be expensive. Hone will exhaust all efforts to help make your care as affordable as possible. For example, our Care Team will assist with sending scripts to your local pharmacy and help you leverage programs like GoodRX–––where the cost of medications can be cut down dramatically in some cases. Other health providers in our space won't go the extra mile like this for their patients — the door is always open if you want to jump back into things : )

The doctor was late and extremely rushed. While she was very nice, there was not really room for questions and she was distracted and seemed like she was just checking the boxes, reading a script, and was just "getting it done as fast as possible".

Login was terrible it took 30 minutes to get through verification, now 2nd blood test the whole process to get a script was 2 months totally unexpected 😲

Poor bedside manner. Rushed me into a purchase decision. Uninterested in what I had to say. Looked at his watch. Acted annoyed when I asked questions. Zero education provided. In totality, he validated the reason why I don't go to the doctor for help unless absolutely necessary. The convenience of coordinating blood lab testing through the internet is a positive. But at some point you still need to put your health and safety in the hands of a physician who is wildly uninterested in your health and safety.

The initial process was mostly easy outside of scheduling, but the docs seemed forced to push their products and glp1s and barely even acknowledged my out of normal test results.

You provided me with a Doctor who lacked care or personalization and was very disengaged. She lacked care and concern and focused on spending her time toward the end of our session about testosterone injection therapy for me when my results were in optimal range. And just to be clearer when I said I don’t understand why I would need this therapy for myself at this time. She said verbatim “so you are or are not interested in Testosterone?” and when I said it doesn’t sound like it’s for me she said okay and we are done and signed off. Again, this was a cold and uninterested doctor and made me feel like she was just pushing drugs. This is a genuine review. And you’re not hiding bad reviews, my point is how trust pilot is set up it masks them until you dig. and have someone who took zero time to care Update based on Hones Reply: I was not paid or incentivized to do this review. The overwhelming positive reviews on Trust Pilot are concerning and the negative ones are hidden until you click on one or two stars. I maintain my dissatisfaction with the provider and can say that beyond the fact that she was late she was unengaged, reading from labs she seemed so disinterested and that she really didn’t like her job or what she was doing. She was so focused at the end of the conversation to talk about testosterone therapy and my levels were optimal. So in review of the response from Hone, they need to take accountability that it may just be they have a doctor on staff who is going through the motions and pushing their products. Overall this company is focused on selling you drug and hormone replacement therapy (even if you are in optimal ranges). The benefit here is getting your blood panel and perhaps checking for extra markers that I'm sure some people perhaps need more help with. The provider was 10 minutes late to the consultation ( to go over the labs) and seemed super uninterested and like she was just going through the motions. Her advice about looking into anti-depressants for migraines was ridiculous to me, (for reference I have zero issues with mood /anxiety) and also pushing testosterone as a therapy when my lab results showed optimal made me realize this is such a scam. If they were true health providers with integrity they would say you really don't need anything right now, focus on a healthy diet and lifestyle and call it a day. My labs all came back pretty great so I guess they need something to push. Be wary and use your best judgement with these companies that are focused on selling their drugs.

Continuing to say we "push drugs" is just pushing a false narrative that isn't true and unfounded. -------- Hone's doctors are not "drug pushers" nor are they salespeople. Our doctors only prescribe what they believe are in the best interest of a person's health. Whether our doctors prescribe more or less of any medication we offer, doesn't impact the amount of money they earn. So "pushing" meds wouldn't benefit their wallets. Hone is built on integrity and patient safety. This review does not accurately reflect the care Hone provides, and if this was a genuine review we'd love to learn more about your experience.
