Your cost is ridiculous I’ll get way better from my private physician
Response from Hone HealthSep 10, 2025
Hey Howard, if you have access to a private physician who can provide the level of care Hone offers, for a more affordable price – we're genuinely happy for you!
The thing is, most people don't have access to a private physician, and if they do – it's usually pretty expensive and that doctor most likely won't be willing to explore care options like TRT or longevity treatments.
Hone isn't cheap, but we're more affordable than traditional healthcare in a lot of cases, and we're by far the best value in tele-health.
We wish you the best of luck, and as long as you can get the care you need, that's all that matters to us : )

Multiple charges
Multiple charges
Response from Hone HealthSep 9, 2025
Hey Sumeet, there are only two charges that recur monthly: the cost of your medications and the monthly membership that covers regular bloodwork, doctor consults, access to the Care Team, and free 2-day shipping on all orders.

This has been one of the WORST…
This has been one of the WORST experiences I’ve ever had. The money issue is 5% of my concern.
The Crux of the issue is no communication. 2-5 days response time per email and only responding to one email at a time per those 2-5 days is inexcusable.
UPDATE: After 6 days of no responses to my emails and Hone not sending my prescription to the pharmacy we agreed on… it took less than 3 hours to respond to this review. And the response is mainly justifying price. I got over that part the first week. But I’m boarding my flight to another country without the medication I needed. When every email has stated when I was leaving since day 1.
Advertising gave me the impression that for said fee, I can test biomarkers and get a prescription and be on my merry way. This is not the case. Once you get the lab work done, you must pay extra for a 2nd lab work to ‘confirm’ validity of the first. Then here’s the kicker, in order to have them write you a prescription you have to pay $150 a month as a subscription to receive it. Ok now all of that aside. After all of this i didn’t have.a choice, with dangerously low testosterone and the headache I went along. I was very clear that i was leaving the country for a month so i would need it definitely before i flew out- this was 3 weeks before i left. It takes them 2-5 days to respond to every email and they will only respond once in a day. There’s no back and forth on the same day. So one conversation that should be over in one business day takes over a week. So as the days roll by I’m watching the clock run out. I had my pharmacy preference stated from day 1. They wait until the end to tell me that pharmacy would not work. (Wait for a response for another 48hrs) So I gave them multiple other options, just to not hear back for a few days that instead of choosing one of those pharmacies the rep says : “oh we can’t send to multiple pharmacies “. OF course you can’t ! I told them since they had stipulations that I’m not privy to I said they could choose any of them. (Another 48hrs goes by) and now we are a week before my trip and they said ok it will take 3-5 business days. 6 business days later (meanwhile no responses to any status inquiries during this time it’s my flight day and the pharmacy has no record of a prescription nor any communication from Hone Health. So now I have no medication for my month long trip. (Still havnt heard back and there’s no phone number to call. Do yourself a favor and go with another company. An entire month of stress for nothing.

Hey Carmine, we just requested more information through Trustpilot. If you can respond to that with your contact info, our team will be sure to help.
We're sorry if Hone membership pricing wasn't clear, but we do mention it on the first and primary page of HoneHealth.com.
The biggest benefit to being with Hone is often what some consider the biggest pain point. Our onboarding is not fast and takes time.
Why is that? We take ZERO shortcuts and abide by ALL regulatory and best practice guidelines set by the AUA and DEA. This means we’re extremely careful with who we treat and how we treat them. Confirmatory labs and often extra labs before starting are safety protocols that do delay things, but they assure that ALL patients are ready to safely begin treatment. Hone makes NO money off these labs or confirmatory tests; in fact, from a sales perspective, it hurts us since we might not be able to start a patient on treatment if their labs or health aren’t in a good place.
The membership covers all of the required care any reputable provider would request. It includes follow-up labs and doctor visits every 3 months. Free 2-days shipping on all orders, and 24-7 access to the Care Team. That cost, even with insurance, is often more than $149/mo.
Hone doesn’t have customers; we have patients. Although we’re a business that wants to make money, our first goal is our patients' health. If we can treat them safely, we know their business will be with us for the long haul.
Regarding your local pharmacy, although Hone will try their best to send your script to them, there's no guarantee that they will be able to fill it. Many local pharmacies have trouble handling prescriptions for treatments such as TRT.
We're happy to examine the communication issues you outlined and determine whether we can either get you back on track with Hone or set you up for success elsewhere.

Lack of communication
**Update** - 9/2 - Hone commented 5 days ago saying they would have a member review the case. There has been zero contact from the company.
Time line - March - paid for a blood panel in . Received results but never had the consultation with the Dr after.
I coach and teach so life became busy and forgot about it.
End of July- reached out about never having a consultation. I was told I actually needed a retest because not everything read correctly back in March. I was never contacted about needing a retest.
August - I did the retest and had the consultation with the Dr. I decided to move forward with the subscription.
Two week passed by and I reached out about the subscription as I entered in billing information. I was told there was no order so I sent the email of my confirmation. I was then told I actually needed a retest before moving forward with the prescription. There was once again was no communication that another blood panel was needed. For all the inconveniences the company offered no solutions. That was twice that a retest was needed without communication. For something I initially looked forward to, there was no attempt to even make the situation right. It reflects highly of the companies integrity.

Regarding your update today – I can confirm our team has been in contact with you the past 2 weeks. Due to PHI, we can't comment on your case here or about your lab results, but our Care Team has been communicating with you regularly. We're sorry things didn't work out, but we wish you the best on your healthcare journey.
-------
Hey Clint, I'm going to have a member of our team review your case. Due to PHI, I can't speak to the reasons within your case that caused this timeline and delays, but I have no doubt we can help and get you set up for success – whether at Hone or another healthcare provider.

After doing a video phone call with the doctor I was very skeptical. She was unable to answer most questions and very unconfident. To be honest not so sure.
Response from Hone HealthAug 26, 2025
Our team will be in touch shortly and we'll make sure to connect you with a provider that lives up to expectations! We also want to gather more information about your consult so that we can touch base with the provider you saw and offer feedback. This type of experience is very rare, and as you can tell from our reviews – Hone doctors normally knock it out of the park for our members!

Lab was fine, but terrible after that.
I got my lab work done, didn't have any issues with that, but the doctor immediately prescribed me thyroid medication, which I actually do not need. She was lovely and told me I would get a prescription and could take it anywhere, but that's not true, and I don't think it was her fault. Hone won't let you get the prescription; they want you to do a membership so you are locked in with them. Overall not a good company, they are definitely not watching out for your well-being.
Response from Hone HealthAug 26, 2025
Update: Hone doctors do not push medications and are not sales people. If they prescribed a medication it's because they believed it was in the best interest of your health. We respect your decision to seek further medical guidance, but Hone doctors are leading experts in their fields who offered you care and guidance to address your health.
-------
Hey Andrea, our membership is necessary in order to receive treatment. It covers the level of care necessary to safely receive many of the medications that we offer. You can also take the script to any local pharmacy you like, but you do need to be a patient of Hone in order to receive that prescription.
There's also no commitment – membership can be canceled at any time.
Hone's membership covers all of the necessary measures any reputable healthcare provider would require for the types of treatments we prescribe + much more.
Membership includes advanced lab panels every 3-months, nearly 60 minute follow up doctor visits every 3-months, non-routine doctor visits when necessary, 24/7 access to the Care Team who can also help transfer your script to any local pharmacy of your choosing, and access to Hone's private member communities.
^ The routine lab testing and doctor follow ups are a necessary safety measure for many patients, and if we released someones script without them agreeing to regular follow ups – that wouldn't be safe or productive for their health.
Hone's membership isn't cheap, and we totally understand the sticker shock at first – the truth is that cost and value is much better than what you can expect from traditional healthcare providers and other companies in our space. Sometimes, even with insurance if they cover treatments (which is rare).
All of that said, unlike other companies, Hone doesn't gate keep your labs or consult notes. We'd hate to lose you, but you're free to take those labs wherever you like for care.
The door is always open if you want to come back after exploring other options!

Misleading/ hidden cost/ not a 30 min consult.
They dont tell you there is a membership untilm after you've paid the initial 45$ then after your doc review, you find out the meds are around 50$ and then the monthly membership is 129$, the yearly membership is almost 1500$ thats not including the meds. This place is a rip off and if I could get back mt 45$ I would be doing that now. They want me to pay almost 200 a month for some clomiphene and a membership lol I got robbed for my 45 and now they wanna continue to tob people. I would not do this, keep your money and talk to your family doctor like I did and save alot of time and money. Hell it tooks weeks to get this all done. No 30 mins consult we talked for less than 5 mins, took me longer to find headphones and quiet space then we were talked.
Response from Hone HealthAug 24, 2025
Hey Jon, Hone mentions our membership and service pricing on our primary landing page at HoneHealth.com. We try our best to be as up front as possible about this through email messaging and communication heading into your first consult.
Additionally, for $45 you received a complete hormone lab panel + 30 minute consult with a specialist. During the consult, the doctors will stay on for as long as the patient has questions. If the call felt short, then your doctor might have felt they've satisfied all of your concerns. The $45 value alone is a much better price than what traditional healthcare or other companies in our space offer. The most important part? We get Hone is not cheap, so if you don't want to continue with membership, your labs are always accessible. Hone doesn't gate keep labs, so you're free to take them with you to your PCP or another company.
Many of the treatments offered by Hone require regular lab work and follow-up doctor visits for patient safety. This also isn't a Hone thing, any reputable healthcare provider will require routine blood work and follow-up consults for those treatments. The cost of that, even with insurance, is often very expensive. Hone's membership covers all of this.
The $129/mo membership covers regular lab work every 3-months, follow-up doctor visits every 3-months, non-routine doctor visits when necessary, free shipping on all orders, 24/7 access to the Care Team, Local Pharmacy set-up if requested, and private access to Hone's online community of 30,000+ men currently on similar treatments.
It's definitely not cheap by any means, but the value compared to other online providers and traditional healthcare–––can't be beat.

No show fees and excessively long process
Received a $50 Charge for missing an appointment. I had poor connection and on top of it the questionnaire for intake forms is absolutely excessive. When you try to fill it out and come back it does not save and you have to start over. Irritating. When I spoke to a rep about the $50 no show fee, her excuse was that the company outsources the doctor visits therefore they have no control over these fees. If that’s the case then why does my credit card show a fee from HONE?
Response from Hone HealthAug 24, 2025
Hey Edgar, we're sorry about the trouble here! The intake forms and ID verification are legally required to be completed before entering a consultation, and since those were not completed – the online consultation was not accessible. Meaning there wasn't a connection issue taking place. If you're not comfortable filling out the intake forms or completing ID verification, we totally understand that, but Hone won't be able to offer you care.
If you would like to talk more about your hesitations with the intake forms, issues you had completing them, or trouble that occurred when submitting ID verification – then our team would be happy to refund you for the $50 fee. However, those steps will need to be completed.
