I paid for my labs, met with the doctor online that all went smooth. They offered me half off subscription and charged me full price. They also claimed my payment declined for my prescription but continued to charge me for subscription (which makes no sense) the communication through email is all Ai and I’m not getting anywhere with a refund or resolution.

Hi Julie, the Care Team has attempted to call you multiple times before this review was posted. They will continue to try and touch base to resolve your issue, but due to PHI we cannot speak on your case here.

Initial cost is much higher than…
Initial cost is much higher than expected. Doctor told me the testosterone would be about $29 a month it is $84. Also have to pay $129 a month for Membership??? Have to pay an additional $50 for an RX to have a second Lab work done and my cost at the lab is $133. So just to get started I am looking at $418 this month and then $235 a month afterward.
I think I will pass. The original quoted amount of $29 for the testosterone and the $22 for the Anastrozole would be doable at $51 a month. Not spending $235 a month

Hone doesn't quote prices since the cost for everyone varies depending on various factors.
In order to receive the types of treatments that Hone offers, a certain level of care is necessary. The membership covers all aspects of this care, including advanced lab panels and comprehensive doctor visits every 3 months, non-routine doctor visits when necessary, free 2-day shipping on all orders, and access to the Care Team. Routine lab work and doctor visits every three months are something any reputable healthcare provider will require to receive treatment.
Although the above membership isn't cheap, it's much more affordable and convenient than traditional healthcare. Typically, you'll have to jump through some hoops to see a specialist who 'might' submit a lab order that covers the depth of Hone's advanced panels. If they do, the cost of those labs (even with insurance) will most likely be hundreds of dollars. Even then, if your doctor is willing to prescribe the level of precision medication that Hone offers, the cost of those treatments (once again, even with insurance) can be expensive.
Our Care Team can always help with cost too, so if you shop around and have a change of heart — the door is always open!

They are awful
They are awful. My husband has spent over $200 and has not yet received any treatment! WHEN YOU TRY TO TALK TO SOMEONE OR ASK FOR SUPPORT YOU GET AI! This is insane he has done 2 blood tests and still is getting messages from supposed care coordinators asking the same questions regarding pharmacy when he answers there is an AI generated response! Try calling you can leave a message but you won’t get anyone !
UPDATE - Since this review the company has refunded my husbands money !

Hi Terry, Hone is not a scam and if this is a genuine review we would be more than happy to help. Unfortunately, there is no contact info associated with this review. We've requested more info through Trustpilot about your review and information regarding your husband's case.

You guys are so full of shit charging 149 monthly membership fee you can go screw yourselves

Hey there, we don't charge anyone for anything that they don't want. People can order an advanced lab test that includes a comprehensive doctor consult about their health. A treatment plan will be prescribed, but there is no pressure to begin treatment with Hone. Unlike other providers, we don't gate keep your labs, so you're free to take those with you and shop around.
The membership covers all aspects of care to safely receive treatment. Any reputable healthcare provider will require this level of care to safely offer treatment. The cost is much more affordable than what you'll find out there, so the door is always open if you would like to explore working with Hone in the future.

Customer service is non-existent
Customer service is non-existent. It's next to impossible to get anyone to respond in a timely fashion if your trying to book an appointment or track down why they haven't updated your labs for over a week after you took them. My prescriptions have lapses while I'm waiting to schedule a follow up meeting with the MD. I have asked the firm multiple times to simply cancel my orders if they will not respond to my requests. So, stuck in limbo with Hone, no responses, no treatment, and no refund.
Response from Hone HealthDec 24, 2025
Hi James, we can confirm our team reached out to your email address ending in 'rr.com' a few times last week regarding your labs, but they have not heard back. The team just needs to gather more information about how those labs were completed in order to help. Please respond back to those emails and we'll make sure to get your case resolved ASAP!

They told me had a low testosterone of…
They told me had a low testosterone of 110 after the first specimen I sent him wasn't good enough to test supposedly And did the whole process over again and then only wanted to prescribe me some over-the-counter medicine and charged me a 200 and something dollar membership a month maybe for some people but not me
Response from Hone HealthDec 23, 2025
Due to PHI we can't speak on your specific case or prescription. That said, Hone doesn't prescribe any "over the counter" medications. Everything that we offer for hormone therapy needs to be prescribed by a doctor or specialist, and is not something you can obtain on your own. The membership covers all of the necessary requirements to receive the types of precision medicine that Hone offers - including advanced lab panels and follow up doctor consults every 3-months, free 2-days shipping on refills, access to the Care Team and Hone's private online member community. The cost of the labs and doctor consults alone will often be a lot more than traditional healthcare - which doesn't offer the level of care that Hone does.

Too expensive
Did not disclose that there was an additional $149 membership fee after I already paid $65 for a blood test and then the medication costs on top of that. I was hoping for all in one medication but when I ask questions they told me they had a compound pharmacy, but it seems like everything is separate. I’m not thrilled with the products they have either. It’s just like what Kaiser gives me for free so why is it so expensive?
Response from Hone HealthDec 22, 2025
Hey Dogbreath, unfortunately there's no all-in-one medication to treat longevity. Maybe one day. Hone's entire product line up is available on our website, and the membership is disclosed on the first page of HoneHealth.com.
Most traditional healthcare providers won't explore the types of treatments that Hone can provide, so seeking similar care isn't going to be that easy.

Hone will exhaust all efforts to help make your care as affordable as possible. For example, our Care Team will assist with sending scripts to your local pharmacy and help you leverage programs like GoodRX–––where the cost of medications will be cut down dramatically in most cases. Other health providers in our space won't go the extra mile like this for their patients.

Only concerned with selling
There were many frustrating elements, but I'll focus on the last straw, so to speak. After consulting with their Doctor, I subscribed to the Premium Plan and ordered testosterone injection medication. For various reasons, including my own medical history and how closely DHEA levels are aligned with testosterone levels, the Hone Health Dr. ordered that my next labwork include the DHEA test. Hone Health refused to include a critical hormone test, which was medically recommended by their own Dr. Hone Health was happy to sell their medication to me, and charge $149 a month, but suggested I see another doctor and obtain the other test separately. Update with facts and timeline as follows to refute their response: 10:22am - I emailed in disbelief that they were refusing to include the lab test their Dr. ordered; 10:44am, they responded to make sure that I filled out the cancellation form with NO offer to include the lab test; 12:38pm - I posted this review; 1:04pm Hone Health claimed their Team has been in touch and is doing their best. Hmmmm, really?
Response from Hone HealthDec 22, 2025
Our team has been in touch and will do our best to accommodate your case. We'll make sure we do our best to set you up for success with Hone, or somewhere else to continue care.
