Lied to about job being done. Was promised all the blue trim would be white. Now saying soffit wasn’t included so underneath trim wasn’t fixed. But they replaced upper trim without replacing soffit in back of house.

Had appointment for an estimate. Text me everyday leading up to appointment to confirm appointment. Day of appointment called and said they were running behind 1 to 1 1/2hours. Waited and waited and they never showed. Called and they said they were going to be another hour. WTH. Not a good 1st impression.

Following a similar sentiment to others, I’m sure this company performs their responsibilities very well given they have a flashy web site with listed 5 star reviews. However, I cannot get over pushy sales members that will not leave my property. It’s dinner time on a weekday and 20 degrees outside, please cut that crap out. “Just a quick call” - no. “Will your wife be here for the meeting?” - no. “That’s ok, just tell the scheduler she will be” - uhhh, sure man. Weird sales team, don’t recommend at all.

Bullies, learn to takee no for an answer .

They claim do roof repair, I was contacted by Angi's list claiming I had call them . I ask for local people told they listed 1 1/2 hr away fr me. When HGE called me 1/2 min later and asked me about what needed done, As soon as they found out not replacing whole roof They told me I'm out thier area REALLY but for a whole roof you were, So Angie get 1 start too since I clearly said they were not in my area.

The sale pitch was fantastic and thorough that I was confident we’d receive premium service and excellent communication with the project manager. We received nothing of the sort. The company subcontracts the jobs which is fine however the crew we got did not have representation of Home Genius. No uniform or vehicles that stood for company. The project manager never contacted us or came to the site the day of installation. The subs that did the work were so disrespectful of our property. Debris was all over our landscape, in the neighbors yard. A ladder blew over and damaged the side of the house while they were on break and did nothing. The project manager came to the site 2 days after installation and we express our unsatisfactory experience and he was receptive to our complaint and was committed to making it right. He promised us many things and we never heard from him again. I called and emailed where I submitted pictures of destroyed landscape and other damages that triggered a manager to reach out. They too promised us steps they would take to make it right and never heard from anyone again. The installation date was October 20th and here we are November 8th and nothing has been resolved or no effort from Home Genius what so ever. I wish there was a zero star option as this is what they deserve. I would NEVER recommend Home Genius Exeteriors to anyone and if asked about them I would tell them not to be fooled by their aggressive sales and free inspection / estimate because you get nothing of what was sold to us.

I got a call from Home Genius Siding on my cell phone. I don't recall reaching out for an estimate, but I have been googling vinyl repair. I answered the call which I don't often do on unknown numbers. The woman asked me about my siding needs, I told her I only needed one piece of cracked vinyl replaced, and she said sorry thank you and hung up on me. I realize it's a small project, and she certainly isn't the first to not want my business, but for starters I didn't ask for a quote and secondly to hang up like that without even explaining that the project's too small or anything else is just extremely rude.

My mother, an 80-year-old woman on a fixed income in Richmond, VA, was pressured by Home Genius Exteriors into an unnecessary $8,940 siding job to fix a chimney leak. The leak was later repaired with a simple roof patch in under an hour, but the company has refused to refund her money and has stopped responding. Further, the company has the audacity to claim the siding leak was necessary even after they were provided with documented text exchanges between my mother and the company where the company acknowledges unnecessary work was done. All of this documentation was sent to the customer support email and the CEO, but no one has responded outside of these forums. She feels taken advantage of and devastated by the loss. Please be careful before trusting this company.
