Terrible customer service. Very rude staff members. They claim to sell scripts, but numerous ones I have purchased have been transcripts, which is absolutely not the same thing. When I've messaged them about it, they've gotten very rude. I've also discovered they're selling scripts with autograph reprints on the cover- they steal the covers from a shop on eBay called "I Love That Movie" and claim they are their own. Avoid the Hollywood Script Shop. You'll be doing yourself a favor.

I paid I Paid for Scripts—Not Abuse and Threats
I paid HollywoodScriptShop.com for screenplays—not to be insulted for asking where my purchases were.
On September 7, 2026, I ordered and paid for three scripts: Prince of the City and two episodes of The Agency. I received only Prince of the City. After taking the order, the operator told me the two Agency scripts were unavailable and offered the pilot instead. I agreed to that alternative. Then I heard nothing back. By my September 16 follow-up, I was still asking for the missing material and clarification about whether the unavailable scripts had been refunded.
Despite that experience, I gave the shop another chance. I placed another paid order for Deep Cover and The Agency pilot. Deep Cover arrived. The pilot still had not arrived when I followed up. Two orders, two partial deliveries, and I was the one left piecing together what had been supplied, what remained outstanding, and what had supposedly been refunded.
I sent an email explaining the purchases, identifying the missing scripts, and asking for delivery and refund clarification. His initial response complained that the email was very long and asked for a shorter explanation. When I pushed back and said that accepting payment should come with taking the time to read a customer’s order inquiry, his response became openly insulting. He referred to my emails as “novels,” called them “way too long and annoying,” and wrote: “A**hole customers always think they’re right.” His message mentioned a refund, then concluded: “And then you’re blocked.”
Apparently, explaining an incomplete order was an unacceptable imposition. Taking my money had not been.
The most disturbing part came when I said I would include his conduct in a Google review. He responded with “f*** around and find out” language about Google reviews, followed by this:
“I'll accept your apology now before I find your business and do the same before you do it to me because I don't have one.”
I read that as a threat to retaliate against my business for reviewing my experience as his customer. My business had nothing to do with whether he could deliver the screenplays I purchased. Bringing it into an order dispute was outrageous.
In a separate reply, he wrote:
“Oh my God you're a dumb f***. I'm done with this.”
Those are his words—not my characterization of his attitude.
What makes this especially absurd is that these messages carry a promotional sign-off inviting people to browse the shop’s “enormous selection of genuine movie and television screenplays.” The contrast between that sales pitch and the way a paying customer was addressed could not be more revealing.
A missing item can be an honest mistake. An unavailable script can be handled with a clear explanation and a promptly confirmed refund. Neither requires contempt, profanity, or a confrontation over the customer’s right to describe what happened. I should not have to manage a seller’s temper to get a straightforward answer about an order.
Afterward, I found Trustpilot reviews from other customers describing incorrect or unavailable scripts, difficult communication, and abusive responses. I cannot personally verify their transactions, but I can say that the customer-service complaints sounded painfully familiar. My own experience is preserved in the emails. (Trustpilot)
My complaint is not simply that every script was not immediately available. It is that incomplete fulfillment turned into an argument, reasonable questions were treated as a nuisance, and criticism was met with personal abuse and what I understood as threatened retaliation. That is a complete failure of customer service.
I will not order from HollywoodScriptShop.com again, and I strongly recommend taking your money elsewhere. An impressive catalog means very little when this is how the person behind it handles a problem. No screenplay is worth paying to be treated this way.

Item not as described, poor customer service
Ordered the Rollerball (1975) script expecting the shooting script plus background info as listed.
What arrived was a terribly poor-quality early draft — a version I'd already owned a better copy of — with no shooting script or background material included.
When I raised this, it took over a week and multiple emails to get a straight answer, and the responses I received were dismissive and unprofessional (I was told to "have someone help you with your email" and to stop contacting them).
No resolution was offered. Based on other reviews I've since read, this doesn't seem to be an isolated experience.

This is a scam website run by a lunatic
This is a scam website. You buy one thing, they sell you something else. I tried to tell Jonathan, the owner, that I was dissatisfied and he started arguing with me, like it was over semantics on an Internet forum. Extremely unprofessional behaviour.
Edit: after I asked for a refund he stopped replying so I disputed the transaction and got a refund. He just now emailed me back and called me “f*** face” and told me to “f*** yourself”. This is not professional behaviour.

Good idea run by an angry teenager
I was genuinely impressed by the catalog and the concept of this website, but the customer service is, quite frankly, a joke.
After a 3-day delivery promise passed with zero communication, I sent a legitimate inquiry. The response I received was beyond unprofessional—it was hysterical. Instead of a simple status update, I was accused of 'harassment' for following up on a paid order and threatened with an IP block.
The management handles criticism like a defensive teenager throwing a tantrum rather than a legitimate business. If you value your money and expect to be treated with basic human decency, look elsewhere. Great products, but the people running the show are clearly not ready to operate in a professional environment.
Zero stars for attitude. Grow up.

Please ignore reviews from “Jonathan…
Please ignore reviews from “Jonathan Rodriguez”. That is the owner. He is mean and hateful and the website is a scam. He shouldn’t be allowed to post a fake, self promotional review on here.
