Some companies started using HireVue "On Demand Interview" which allows them to let candidates do all the work without making any effort themselves. If you're not desperate, boycott companies using this system, they are trying to remove the "human" in human resources.

Whilst the product is excellent and for the most part user friendly, it is a shame I cannot say my experience of their customer service team was the same. Having entered a new agreement with HireVue just prior to the pandemic closing our business down for a year, I was surprised to be issued a new invoice in 2021 for another years subscription. Unknowingly we were on a rolling contract and upon requesting to cancel the subscription on the day the invoice was issued, I was advised we needed 60 days notice to cancel. 2 months of discussions and they have not moved from their corporate response of 'clause 7.3 of your contract states'. Deplorable behaviour! We are now forced to pay 2 full years of invoices for a product we did not use at all.
