I purchased red creeping thyme. I planted it and seventy percent of it died. I called the company and they said that I needed to nurture it for about a year before they could tell me if it would take or honor any refunds. I nurtured it, and eventually it took and spread (about 2 years) and it turned out to be a pale lavender and white. It is the ugliest thyme I have ever seen. And now I have plenty of it. I'm going to have to start all over. I will never use High Country Gardens again. I dislike them very, very much. Don't shop here.

Orders almost $900 in microclover seeds. Bins had a lot of mouse poop and pee. Planted in the fall for best results. I should have gotten at the very least 1/3 acre. Got collective of about 5x10 area. I wrote 3x and called 4x, even from the beginning of finding the mouse droppings. Nobody would respond.

After sitting in a box shipping took 8 days and plants arrived in pretty poor shape. Ordered 6 plants: one was dead on arrival, two in very bad condition and the other 3 were definitely not worth the high price. I sent pictures and have written emails, to no use. They are not a reputable responsive company. Do not buy from them. Follow up: out of the clear blue sky I was given a full refund and a hope that I try to salvage the plants. A few have a chance.

Spent over $400 with them so far 6 plants have died and 2 more look like they will die. The size of them are very small, I E mail the company they said under review. They asked for pictures and told them it just looked like dirt. I will buy local from now on!!!! May 23 2026 I Don't recommend them

I filed a credit dispute with this company. They only sent three plants after I filed it, yet there are many more of their terrible quality plants in my garden that aren't healthy. They won the dispute--David and Goliath. Of course my cc company went with the big company and not the consumer. So again, I don't trust their warranty. This is the latest experience with High Country Gardens. Their plants are basically plugs, not fully rooted plants. Yet they charge as if you are getting gold not s..t. I wonder if other plants die what will happen.

Plants came healthy, larger than anticipated, shipped on time and are flourishing in ground. Very satisfied. Will order from them again.

Do not order. Paid $16 each + shipping for Russian sage plants. Received wet, crumpled cardboard boxes of loose soil crammed in my mailbox with a 1 inch wilted yellow stem at the bottom. TINY stems in a large pot. Waste of money, go to your local nursery instead.

Wow! They really are not the same nursery as they were years ago. I use to get real healthy plants. Never had any issues. Never dreamed I had to look up reviews on them Just another business gone downhill I ordered 3 English Lavender plants. They came looking horrible and quickly turned gray. I tossed them out. Doubt I’ll get any response to refund. Did receive a full refund so glad about that.
