I think that the grouping together was really good and that it feel like a safe space to talk about any issues. Where as in normal therapy it’s focused on one person and if you don’t talk about your problems in a session it feel like a wasted session at times in hero journey club even if we don’t talk about any issues and mostly just play games it still feels productive because it’s a time to relax and forget about issues for a while.

Great topics covered and a casual setting. I appreciate the perspective our guide brings to the table.

I really like this, it is very relaxing and helpful to me in so many ways. I love the people in my group and my group leader is amazing. Wish It took insurance though.

I like that I am connected with my group and journey guide almost all of the time via discord. It makes support easy to find and access. If I’m having a rough time its easy to reach out and people who are already familiar with my situation are ready to support me. I also like that I can do this from my couch or bed. Some days are tough to motivate, so the ease of access is great. My Journey Guide is also incredible and has so many resources they are able to share depending on what kind of support I am needing that week. This includes worksheets, articles, books, etc. which really has helped explore what I’m working through. The only criticism I have is that the groups can be a bit full for only an hour and a half sessions, but the price point perhaps reflects the why there; its low so as to be accesible, but I can see where it would be hard to do 2+ hours at that price. I will also say when I initially signed up the marketing and matching survey lead me to believe I would be paired with a group that would play the same game as me. This has not really panned out in reality (we all came in with different ideas of what to play). I do not mind this because I am not really a big gamer overall, but I could see where some people may be left disappointed.

I think what makes the experience great is the authenticity of the group members. They really do seem to care and listen to each other. The encouragement really means a lot.. It validates feelings and experiences that are invalidated by people we're around on a daily basis. Having a place to share has been great. We've also been given a couple of helpful visuals and tools. That's probably the thing this type of group therapy doesn't offer as much though.. Practical tools that specifically help me overcome some of my personal challenges.

I'm going to write this review in the form of a pros & cons list. Here goes: Pros: Supportive group members All of the guides so far have been amazing Talking about things really does help and makes my week and mental health life much better. Cons: One group member seems to take a significant portion of the time which feels draining to me. Other people's issues can be triggering, you have to know yourself well enough to know when something is triggering you. ________________________________________________ Overall my experience has been pretty good. I'm happy with the service and the groups overall.

Honestly, Dina has made this an enjoyable experience. I honestly got overwhelmed around my fourth session when my original journey guide had to leave and all the members in my group also left. I started to feel discouraged. But when Dina stepped in I didn’t feel like I was starting over from the beginning it was still a guided experience and I continue to grow each session.
