Disenchanted and Disappointed But Won’t Be Silenced (Again)
I believed in what I thought it was, but as with most things in life, things are not always what they seem. Proceed at own risk - though in this case it’s a risk to your mental health so please give it serious consideration before making the decision you believe is best for yourself. Your mileage may vary. Edit to add: By their reply below you can see a little bit of what I mean - they were presented with general feedback and they immediately tried to make it about something specific so that they could attempt to invalidate my voice. It wouldn’t be the first time. So just in case it doesn’t go without saying, I wasn’t referring to just your “temporary” changes, or even the newest set of changes “for the better of the community”. It’s all of it. The entire environment and some of the people in particular have no business in a space that requires understanding and compassion. Some of your fake it real nice, though.

We understand the frustration about the temporary changes to our free Discord community. As we shared in our message to the community, the community has changed drastically as we’ve scaled up to reach more people who need support. We have made these temporary changes so we can take the time to make this community better for all of you: safer, less chaotic, more helpful. We'd love to specifically hear your thoughts on the paid program and how we can improve that experience.
