Honestly, I am sincerely grateful for Wisp and to its doctors for providing me with a private and efficient means of obtaining much needed medical care for issues that may otherwise be met with judgment or skepticism / may simply be too embarrassing or difficult to obtain via our heavily biased and, to many, inaccessible or unaffordable healthcare system. I have personally found myself the victim of medical gaslighting in the recent past, confronted with a horrifying reality: that women with legitimate medical issues are often dismissed as dramatic, deluded, or hysterical by the only people in a position to help them, STILL—to this day, in 2024—just as our predecessors were in the early twentieth century. We think of our society as being a more enlightened, less oppressive one, but I learned the hard way that that is not the case in so many facets of modern life, even in the most liberal of US cities. Bias, prejudice, and dissonance taint the perspectives of clinicians who remain completely ignorant to the nature or the consequences of their negligence in these instances, denying women (in this case) the help they need, simply because they’ve been trained to assume that our pain and alleged ailments are imagined or because it goes against some religious principle that they have no right to impose upon their patients—who suffer as a result. When I found myself in such a position, I felt like I had no place left to turn. Any in-person doctor I saw just turned me away without a second thought, without heeding my complaints, or investigating my issue. They based their unfounded dismissal on a brief assessment of my external appearance alone or on the notes of the previous provider who had decided I was not worth their time and effort, but never on the facts, my symptoms, or the results of diagnostic testing. So, my condition only worsened with time, until I finally found Wisp and it’s non-biased doctors who offer a patient-centered approach to treatment and couldn’t base their opinions on the way my face looks or my apparent age, because they can’t see me. They have to operate based on facts and patient assertions alone, because they do not have access to prior providers’ false condemnations to unduly influence their decisions and perpetuate patient neglect… This may be an overly wordy & intense review, I know, but I feel very passionately about this matter, and I cannot convey my sentiments any more concisely than that if I try. Wisp has provided both me and my close friends with solutions in times of medical trouble on multiple occasions, and I would definitely recommend it to other women who are struggling to find such assistance elsewhere due to legal or cultural barriers, can’t afford health insurance, or are simply uncomfortable seeing a physician about their issue in-person. Granted, they are only able to address those issues of the sexual or female-specific variety for the most part, in addition to some dermatological concerns, but in those instances, they can be a light in the darkness that illuminates the path towards restored health (or bodily autonomy) when it seemed like the night would never end, metaphorically-speaking… or when you just need convenient access to birth control, sex accessories, or skincare.

This was a lifesaver! I’ve been dealing with a yeast infection for awhile now and can’t afford a doctor, it’s also hard to get to a doctor with young kids. I answered all the questions and I had a response from a doctor within minutes. My pharmacy opened and within 15 minutes of them opening I had a text saying my meds were ready! Going to pick them up shortly! Thank you so much wisp!!! 🖤 Just to add the local clinic was gonna charge $150 just for the visit and anything they did added to the price. Between the appointment with wisp and paying for my meds it was under $100
