Interesting Meeting; My interviewer Joseph Lee was polite and professional. It has been years since I done this type of inquiry and most importantly applying for a loan of this magnitude. I had lots of question and since, Joseph inform me that we only have 30 min., because he has other interviewers waiting. I had to rush the question I had written down. I was able to understand most of his responses, however. I couldn't go back to make sure I understood him due to the lack of time. This is why I gave 4 stars.

Got the best rate and my team was great! Had a little bump as was ready to close but all was worked out and I was made whole for the delay. Communication was great as was always available even on weekends!

Everyone at Tomo was very responsive and the whole process was overall smooth. My only critique is that a couple of times they asked for the same document or question several times.

Working with Tomo was easy: the rates were the best, the questions were answered when necessary, and the whole process was very convenient. The only reason why there are 4 stars is that there was a mistake in the closing cost amount (~10% more) that was communicated 2 days prior to closing made me scramble for that additional amount.

In total, my experience was fairly positive. The first half was VERY positive, and after that, some drawbacks. Details: * Conner was very professional. He contacted me early on and after that periodically, since I was shopping with a number of competitors. He also produced a pre-approval letter pretty early on, which stood out in contrast to some of the other mortgage lenders. * Things started going south when I received a new estimate close to the closing date, in which lenders costs appeared, which was contrary to our prior agreements. I was told it would be removed, but the "fix" appeared with an interest rate higher than the agreed-to matched rate from a different banker. Both he and the representative in charge of my loan then fixed the rate as well, so we were back on track. I was thankful to both of them and decided to disregard that bump in the road. * There was a bit of anxiety on the last day and evening before the closing date when all parties involved stopped getting communications from anyone on their team. The next morning they claimed there was some processing glitch which was fixed. It sounded true, but there should have been more communication on that day. Conclusion: I did get a very good deal with them and do recommend them, and Conner in particular. However, as stated in the title, you need to keep your eyes open for any changes/irregularities, etc. I suppose that concept applies to anyone you deal with in this business.

We got a great rate and in general our agents were easy to contact and communicate with. I disliked that some of the "immediate" email responses were from an AI agent rather than a real person, but I guess that's par for the course these days. We closed on time, though right up to the wire. I would have appreciated a little more breathing room but in the end we still got our home.

James was very nice to work with-- informative and responsive throughout the process. Happy with my experience.
