Till card - consider other options
We got a Till card for our son's school trip abroad. Before getting this card, there are a few things you should know: 1. You have to deposit money into your parent account before the money can be transferred to your child's account. This isn't instant and can take 3+ days especially if you initiate the transfer on a weekend (why this takes so long when everything is electronic is a mystery to me). Once you get the money in your account it takes another day to transfer to your child's account. 2. Customer service is via an email account with Till. They don't respond quickly. You can find a phone number to call online, but no one answers and you have to leave a message. They are not quick in returning calls. 3. My personal opinion - this is a start-up company, not a legit banking institution, so there really is no customer service and the product and user experience is very clunky. I would look for other products.
