The MD staff was helpful and friendly however the doctor I saw for a recommendation was judgement and mean.

I was pleased to find a way to renew my card without leaving home, and for a fair price. The Zoom video app worked well, and it was pleasant to show up in a "Reception Room" with a nice young woman. (just 5 miles from my house, it turns out) It took awhile to get an appointment with a doctor due to wait times and my busy schedule. When I did, the doctor was a young man with a lot of sniffling and nose-wiping. As we reviewed my case, I mentioned my old coccyx injury, and the doctor asked me if I'd consider having it removed. !! My tailbone? I replied that I worked for decades alongside world-class surgeons at UCSF, a research facility, and I hadn't been aware of anyone taking out a tailbone. He stated that it's a new procedure in L. A, where he practices. It seemed a bit off to me, as did his stimulated affect. Other than that odd encounter, he was pleasant and the interview was mercifully brief.

Some dispensaries don't accept the original HelloMD recommendation because it lacks the california gold seal sticker or california embossed seal. Some spots allowed me to become a member, bout 50/50 right mow. I'm not sure why the acceptance is inconsistent. Is HelloMD running a scam, or are the dispenseries that take menot following the rules, or are those insistent on the gold-seal being paranoid?

Thanks for this feedback. Dispensaries across CA do accept our recommendation, which is fully in compliance with CA law. There is nothing in CA law that requires a gold seal I can assure you. You might have run into a dispensary that has its own rules, which we cannot control of course. There are thousands of independent dispensaries operating across CA. To improve this situation, we would be happy to send you a new recommendation letter, with a gold seal.
