This was my first experience with healing harbors and purchasing sour gummies. I feel the sour gummies could be made without the sugar, although good just don’t think the sugar on top adds anything to make them better.

Hi Roberta. We are sorry to hear you did not like the sugar on the outside of the jellies, and that it gave you such a negative experience. We wanted to let you know that our jellies are completely handmade using a traditional French pate de fruit recipe, and the sugar coating is necessary to keep the candies from clumping or melting together. It also helps act as a natural preservative to increase the overall shelflife. This method allows us to make the jellies vegan and gluten free, as well as eliminate the need to use anti-clumping or undesired preservative ingredients.
