I think it's helpful but it's hard for my mom to turn the chair.
I think it's helpful but it's hard getting my 83 year old mom to get used to it. She finds it difficult when she gets to the top of the steps because she has to turn the chair herself to get out. It would be better if the chair evened out at the landing at the top of the stairs so she didn't have to turn the chair. She has alzheimers so trying to teach her how to use the chair has been challenging.

I have a Highlander 2 VPL.
I have a Highlander 2, 30inch lift VPL. In garage. Did a lot of research, selected a professional elevator installer. Runs great after two years. Best product for the job. I'm a retired mechanical engineer.

My lift works great for me
My lift works great for me. No mechanical issues at all. The only problem I've had is with the bottom bushing on the post receiver. The set screw failed and the bushing came out. A little super glue, and a just in case piece of duct tape, and it's all good.

A lift for me and you
I find the lift for my folding wheelchair to be well made and perfect for my chair. It’s not always easy for me to use it as I am an amputee and must rely on a walker when operating the left and loading my chair. This has nothing to do with the lift’s design.
