I can't say enough good things about Happy Llama's SoCool feeder. I had to have rotator cuff and bicep surgery recently which has made opening cat food cans very difficult. In addition, my cat was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma last year so he has to eat a special prescription wet food diet otherwise I would have tried to find an alternative. Being able to have 6 feedings without worrying how I was going to open the food one handed has been a life saver. Now my neighbor just comes over once a week to help me out, load up the machine, hit the button and go! The inserts are a must have too! I wish I had bought more initially. This has been a total game changer for me - it's so refreshing to have a reliable feeder where I don't have to change ice packs or worry about my guys' prescription food going bad or drying out. Easy to use device and personal assistance from the owner and engineer. My cat took to it right away. This is the only (also the best) option for raw food automatic feeders that is more of a mini-fridge. The food is fresh for 12+ hours, which is a picky-cat win.

I am a month into using 2 feeders for my cats. They work perfectly, are quiet, and keeps the food at a great temperature. I feed raw so the temperature is important. I get an alert on my phone when it dispenses a meal so I know they were fed when I am away. My girls are fed 3X a day and it is great not being attached to my kitchen for every meal anymore!

I have one cat (of seven) that does not eat dry food. I attend a minimum of 10 conferences annually and there are times when my friend who feeds them while I am away is not available. I bought the SoCool for that one cat. He is separated from the rest of them as he doesn't get along with them. Therefore, the SoCool refrigerated feeder is purrfect for him! I am using it on a daily basis so he will know that's where he gets his food from without waiting for me to feed him (except when it is the 1st serving and I'm setting up the other 5 servings). My cats LOVE their Happy Llama feeders! Even my cat that doesn't like an automatic waterer or automatic litterbox loves it. It makes my life so easy to know they get fed even when I work late.

The SoCool pet feeder has been fantastic. My cats food is kept at a safe temperature and I can schedule up to 5 meals. This really helps me feed them healthy food while not having to schedule my life around them. The app has worked well and after an update the fans are pretty quiet. The main things prospective owners should consider is that the great refrigeration comes at the cost of using a decent amount of power, the high initial cost of the feeder and that while there are 6 tray spots, you can only schedule 5 meals as the feeding spot is always open.
