Happy Head was started by Dr. Ben Behnam, one of the top 10 U.S. Board-Certified Dermatologists, along with his twin brother Dr. Sean Behnam to provide a better alternative than the one-size-fits-all brands on the market. Our product is at a higher price point because we provide custom formulations for each customer, while many other products out there are just “one-size-fits-all” and may be sitting on the shelves for months. All of our doctors that provide consultations are required to be board-certified dermatologists, not just general practitioners or nurses. Our formula is custom-compounded for each customer, and includes one of the strongest prescription doses for the medicine on the market today (e.g., 8% minoxidil vs. 5%), which our doctors have seen has more efficacy. When you place an order, you will be notified with your doctor’s name and information. Dr. Ben Behnam, Dr. Sean Behnam, and Dr. Serota are our main medical professionals. Hi there - thanks for your review. Everyone's hair and scalp reacts differently. On average results show at the 6 month mark due to the natural cycles of hair. Some people may take longer, but consistency is key! Have you been able to take progress photos? (same angle, every month -- this is very important!) Our doctors can take a look and see if we need to reformulate your formula to something stronger (perhaps dutasteride instead of finasteride). With other companies, their solutions are one-size-fits-all. With ours, we can recustomize to make sure there is progress and regrowth. Look out for a call / email from our support team soon.

Hi there - thanks for your review! Yes the rep was absolutely right that some shedding may occur in the first 6-8 weeks of use. This happens as the hair shifts from telogen (resting) to growing (anagen). The telogen hairs are shed and then slowly replaced by much stronger, thicker hair. Overall, results typically take as early as 3 months and up to 6 months for full results. Consistency is key! Be sure to continue using 2x per day (1x morning, 1x night), and your results should come soon. Using a 0.25mm dermaroller can help apply the product and help build a stronger scalp around your hair follicles as well. Hi Sean - thanks for providing your feedback. Our price point is due to our customized compound that we formulate based on each customer's specific hair loss situation. We're not "one-size-fits-all" or "off the shelf" like all other products in the market. Each bottle of ours is personalized for each customer. Also, our topical solution provides stronger, and more prescription-grade medicine (e.g., 8% minoxidil vs. 5% from others), as our Doctor's have seen higher efficacy as a result. About the consistency, you can try to apply with wet hair to help with the texture. If you have any irritation or dislike the feeling, you can wash it out after 2 hours without reducing its efficacy. Hi, David! Our formulation is at a higher price point because we customize each bottle according to every customer's specific needs. We are not a "one-size-fits-all" company. We also provide one of the strongest dosages of the medications in the market to increase efficacy. As for the side effects, unfortunately, rash and stinging are common side effects of the Minoxidil when you first start using our product. The good news is that it only lasts about 2 to 3 weeks! Our doctors are always available to help assist customers that are experiencing side effects in order to minimize symptoms and maximize results :)
