Hi, Hugh- Every person is different and will react differently to each medicine. That's why we emphasize customizing the formulation for every individual, so perhaps there's a different solution that would work better for you. Like all other hair medicine, Happy Head requires consistent use (2x per day, morning and night) and may take up to 6 consecutive months to see any type of results. Also, our product has an aloe vera base. The aloe adds a bit of texture, but it helps lessen any dryness or irritation the Minoxidil and/or Retinoic Acid may cause. That being said, we can remove it from your formula if you’d prefer.
