Digital key sucks. Hampton Inn Glendale poor customer service experience.
I’ve stayed at Hampton Inn’s all over the US. The digital key only works on some of the entry doors at most places I stay. I got locked in a stairwell in Glendale, CA Hampton Inn and had to call the front desk. Instead of unlocking it, or coming to open it for me, they told me to leave through the fire door and walk around the building.

Disgusting Hotel
3 Weeks Vacation stayed in 5 Hotels under the Hilton banner…Homewood/Hampton/Hilton
Hampton Inn, Canal St,
New Orleans. Worst Hampton I have ever visited. 3 Floor request for me by previous Hotel I was stay at and agreed.
(Given the impression only 2 flights of stairs)
Arrived New Orleans given 4th Floor even after exposing the phone call from previous hotel. the stairs were the emergency stairs. (I don’t do elevators) unlike other Hampton all the water pipes exist on these stairs, it stank, water on the floor. I had to walk up 3 flights before I even reach level 2 so another 2 flights (74yrs old) I’m fit but not that fit also carrying bags.
We would have had to use these stairs every time we want to exit or enter our room (booked 2 nights)
The room in a dingy part of the corridor, I felt unsafe. “KEY” twice my husband had to go to reception as the key didn’t work. Room, overlooking water system.
We left even straight away even though we had paid in advance. The member of staff on reception was totally unhelpful. I would never recommend this hotel in a million years. Id like my money back but I know Hilton won't refund as I paid in advance. We had to find another hotel costing us more.

Hilton Honors Customer Service Does Not Help and Hilton Hampton Inn Property Not Clean or Honest
Absolutely horrid experience with a Hampton Inn and Suites in Albany, Georgia and then a follow-up horrible experience with Hilton Honors. The hotel was filthy, to the point where our skin itched upon leaving the hotel. We stayed there as we didn't have many options late at night and with young kids in tow. The following day after we checked out we were charged $150 for towels that the hotel claimed with dyed pink with pink hair dye. We never dyed our hair, but my 6 year old son did spill some pink lemonade. Definitely not $150 worth of damage. Pink lemonade easily washes out. I attempted to resolve the issue with the hotel but they would not return my phone calls. Attempted to resolve the issue with Hilton Honors, both the towels and the filthy hotel, but they told me their hands were tied regarding the issue. They opened several cases for me and all were closed by the hotel without calling me.
As a family who travels a lot and has started to develop loyalty with the Hilton brand, we are extremely turned off. We have a Hilton American Express credit card and are Hilton Honors members, but we are so disgusted by the lack of communication and follow–through from both the Hampton Inn and Suites in Albany, GA and Hilton Honors customer service. It’s going to be a long time before we ever stay at a Hilton property again. If we can’t reach a hotel when they are wrongly accusing us of dying their towels with hair dye to discuss the matter, on top of charging us an unnecessary amount of money for said false claim, but how can we fix the trust we have lost with this company? If our concerns about a filthy hotel are not addressed by either the hotel or Hilton Honors, how are we supposed to express such concerns?

Unaccapteble service
We made a reservation for 3 people. They told us that we would be informed about room placement once we arrived. At arrival they told us that they only have 2 bed-rooms available.
And the 2 beds are not queen, but twinsized.
For 3 grown ups, it’s not possible to fit in 2 twin sized beds.
That in itself is not the problem, it’s the lack of understanding and flexibility to look for a reasonable solution.
We decided to go to the reception to ask for an extra room or a solution.
There was absolutely zero collaboration, they just told us to either accept the situation or to pay full price for an extra room.
This service is unacceptable for a hotel in this segment.
The hotel in question is the Hilton Honours in Arequipa, Peru.

Hampton Inn - Forrest City, AR Room 232 Mold Odor
Review for Hampton Inn - Forrest City, AR
Date of Stay:
Checked in on 5/27/2024
Checked out on 5/28/2024
Room #232
I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Forrest City, AR, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.
What went wrong?
Upon checking into Room #232, I discovered the strong smell of mold contamination, which severely impacted my stay. I found it difficult to rest due to the very malodorous odor. As someone who struggles with confrontation, I wanted to request a different room but didn’t feel comfortable doing so, as I was raised not to inconvenience anyone. Instead, I tried my best to rest despite the conditions, which led to no sleep due to constant sneezing and a runny nose.
How can this company improve?
1. Regular Inspections:
Implement more rigorous and frequent inspections of rooms to ensure they are free from mold and other potential health hazards.
2. Proactive Room Changes:
Encourage staff to proactively check in with guests shortly after they arrive to ensure their room meets their expectations, and make it easy for guests to request room changes without any discomfort. A simple statement: “We hope you are thrilled with your room! If there is anything that may prevent you from resting well please allow us to accommodate you with a room change.” This would make me feel like I am not an inconvenience.
3. Improved Communication:
Train staff to handle guest concerns with empathy and promptness, especially regarding health and safety issues.
4. Preventive Measures:
Consider using dehumidifiers and air purifiers in rooms prone to humidity and mold issues to prevent such problems from occurring.
While my previous stays at other Hampton Inn’s have been pleasant, this experience highlights areas that need improvement to maintain the quality and safety standards guests expect. I hope the management will take these suggestions seriously to enhance the overall guest experience.
Thank you for your attention, to this matter so future guests in this room may rest well.

AWFUL experience at Hampton by Hilton…
AWFUL experience at Hampton by Hilton Alcobendas!
Arrived at the Hampton Alcobendas at midnight on the 22nd of May on business, after spending the majority of my afternoon and evening travelling. Upon check in I was told that my booking had been cancelled due to an issue with payment with my organisation’s travel agent that was not communicated to me or my company’s travel agent properly.
The customer service I received at check in was horrendous - I was told that there were no rooms left in the hotel for that night and the staff member did not offer to search alternative hotels in the vicinity either. I had to research and ring hotels myself and found that none had availability in the area. This left me without a hotel room all night and no other safe option but to sit and wait in the hotel lobby for five hours until my taxi to catch my flight home in the morning arrived. At no point was I offered a cup of coffee, water, food or even facilities to use. The hotel staff ignored me and I was treated as an inconvenience. This ordeal led to me being awake for almost 36 hours and being unable to work the following day due to lack of sleep and poor health.
I will be escalating my complaint to my company and advising that this particular hotel is removed from our travel agents offering, and asking my company and travel agent to lodge formal complaints too.
Truly awful experience, I will avoid booking the Hampton and Hilton brands for personal and corporate use in the future.

Bed Bugs
I stayed at this Hampton Inn in Carrollton Ga. for business 2 nights in March 2024. I was awakened at 2am in the morning feeling like I was on fire. I had red welts all over my left arm. Not sure what was happening, I searched the bed and found and killed a bed bug in my bed. Took pics… Called front desk clerk who assisted me in moving to another room. I reluctantly stayed the night as it was now 3am.
I promptly checked out the next day, however, I did speak with the General Manager(S.Ferguson)regarding my concerns. My arm was aching and throbbing and this GM advised me to seek medical advice and submit the bills to the hotel. Needless to say, this was done ant urgent care and I ended up with 3 prescriptions. Bills were submitted as requested. As of today, May 14,2024, I have been unable to get any satisfaction from this ordeal. The GM is never in and never follows up to emails sent or phone messages left. Have reached out to Diamond Desk but to know avail. This is so unacceptable to treat customers this way. Can not believe Hilton Hotels allows this kind of customer service and does not hold their employees accountable for providing a clean and safe environment or addressing customer concerns. I am still awaiting a response!!!

My letter to the hotel below
My letter to the hotel below: Dear Hampton Inn, thank you for a great stay at the Hampton. I was very happy with the customer service and the quality of the room. If I could suggest one thing it would be that the breakfast lacked appeal. For the price of the room if a hotel offers a breakfast we are lead to believe that that breakfast would be satisfactory. The breakfast for me was very unappealing. I found myself just having the scrambled egg. Bacon would have been nice, fresh juice would have been nice. And plastic cutlery and paper plates were again not making for a pleasant morning experience. I paid over 1,800 for four days stay at the Hamilton. I am very well travelled all over the world and just found the breakfast a let down. I think providing feedback is important in helping a hotel get it right for customers.
