We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Manning SC. We travel yearly to and from New England to FL and always look for a Hampton Inn. We booked on line a couple of hours in advance. When I checked in the friendly young lady had her mask below her mouth. With COVID on the rise again, I expected better precautions. She assigned us tI a room at the back of the hotel by the rear entry door. We heard voices and that door slam closed all night long (Not sure why there was so much foot traffic) Also across from our room was the ice machine with a very noisy motor. We usually sleep like logs, but not here! Our bathroom was inundated with small, flying bugs. I killed over 2 dozen but more just kept coming (Gross). The room was not spotless and our sheets had stains that I prayed just didn’t come out when washed. Our room smelled like carpet disinfectant. The hand sanitizer by the back door squired across the hallway and the one up further was empty. Due to Covid the breakfast has changed but they did a nice job with grab and go bags. When I checked out I complained about the bugs and noise. It took several minutes before the woman behind the desk looked at me or apologized. This place needs a good overhaul and new management. It was the worst Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at!

Hampton Inn & Suites Alexandria Old Town Area 5821 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22303: I never recieved a confirmation for the booking so I assumed it wasn't reservered. But then I was charged $189 for a room I did not stay in. I called the hotel to ask if they charge could be waived as a courtesy as I am a Hilton Honor's member and this has never happened with me. The front desk person or manager I spoke to was arrogant and showed lack of concern. I will NEVER Stay in this hotel ever gain. You take my money without me ever occupying the room. So now you will no longer get my business.

Made the mistake of booking privately a room overnight before a trip to Ireland . Subsequently needed to alter the booking date which I thought should be easy on their website. Far from it . Had to contact them via e-mail to ask for help and was replied to (about a week later)by somebody who was "sorry they were unable to assist me".Small wonder as they signed themselves off as a Corporate Bookings Specialist! I went back to the website a few days later to see if I could make better contact and found things no better. An appalling and arrogantly conceived website which seems to serve only those people who are on a corporate booking or something to do with their "Honours" system.As a private individual I was again led round in circles and got nowhere.In the end I had to submit a cancellation request under their general emergency Covid-19 cancellation arrangements, which it should not have been necessary to burden.The term "Customer Service" was conceived to apply to ALL customers not just the designated elite!!

HAMPTON INN @ Stansted Airport. Really poor stay. This hotel did not have bad reviews which is why I booked it. But apparently I had a very different stay. First the beds are really hard, there is no room service, no mini bar and everything seems to happen through the bar.. I was tired and needed something quick to eat so went down to the bar which is the restaurant and breakfast room and attached to reception. I wanted a hot meal and even though there were only 6 people in the place to be quick I ordered a cold sandwich which meant I would be out of there in 10 minutes. Not a chance after 25 minutes I enquired about the missing sandwich and it seemed no one was able to help. Though people who arrived 15 minutes after I did we’re happily munching on their hot meal! 2 staff members and 45 minutes in total my sandwich arrived. It was incorrect but I could not be bothered took it to my room and ate the bread. At£19.95 that was very expensive bread. In the morning I stopped at reception to drop something in the post to be told they do not handle post and to take it to the airport. I moved on to breakfast and went to the hygenically incorrect buffet set up and a gentleman told me he had been waiting 12 minutes for them to refill the eggs...I set my tray down and left for the airport.

Thinking the Hampton Inn belongs to the Hilton chain I was confident our stay was going to be pleasant. Far away I was from the nightmare I had to live on this hotel. Unclean, dated, no cleaning rooms unless you ask for it ? and do not even think on complaint as the staff will retaliate in a very aggressive and lethal manner.
