I had visited Hammond’s Candies years ago when I was a Director of an early childhood program. It was a great tour! So when my kids and I were trying to find fun things to do this summer, I thought of Hammond’s! What a pleasant surprise to see they were in a new building and new location that apparently they had been for quite some years. Before the tour, we were in a front area that had antique appliances and 50’s styled tables. We were given Hammond’s paper hats to wear if we chose. Then we were led to a room to watch a cool historical video about Hammond’s and a timeline of their company. Next, we went into an area with big glass windows where we could watch the candy makers in action! This was super cool to watch. Plus, our tour guide answered questions and told us about what they were doing in the candy making areas. So many types of candy! Towards the end, our tour guide gave us samples of their hard candy and led us to the gift shop area that reminded me of a 50’s candy shop. So many fun and delicious items to choose from! So if you are looking for a fun, free activity to do with friends, family, coworkers, Hammond’s delivers!!

We brought our two Grandchildren to Hammonds for a tour of the factory! It was an awesome experience for all! We of course ended up in the gift shop where we enjoyed all of the “retro” candies! Lollipops were a hit, the caramels were fabulous and the chocolate bars were fabulous! Thoroughly enjoyed out visit!
