I never thought that purchasing from Hamilton Beach would be such a huge mistake
Yesterday I received a Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap Duo Food Processor which I had ordered via the Hamilton Beach website. When I tried to use it, the machine would not turn on. After a few minutes, I noticed that the cord had been partially severed. Furthermore it appeared that this particular machine had been returned to HB by another customer because of the fact that the cord was not in it's retracted, unused position. Also, there's a small piece of broken black plastic and I do not know what part it goes to. It seems that Hamilton Beach customer service is pretty much non-existent. When I called their phone number, I got a recording telling me to chat online. On one chatline, after stating my problem, a page appeared telling me I could pay $5 for the opportunity to speak with a technician. I received a very defective product, so why do I have to pay $5 to speak with a tech? I used another page to send a message to hamilton beach explaining my problem. I received a canned response that they will review and get back to me, and please allow up to 2 weeks. If this product was not damaged and unusable (because of the severed electrical cord), it would be exactly what I had been looking for, but at this point, I would not trust anything Hamilton Beach might say or do.
