I hate to do this really, but it's necessary. For what is advertised, the price point, and the fact that both me and my daughter have now tried these on three seperate failed occasions now, I can not in good conscious give this anything higher than 1 star. The 1 star can atleast be given for the effort seemingly put into the swim cap design as it relates to the material selection. But, the efforts fail in that it does not keep the water out no matter how tight you make the bands. You can literally fill the water immediately seeping in around the base and sides of the skull almost immediately after barely making contact with the water. And no, we do not secure the cap over the ears. The cap just does not work as advertised. You're honestly better off getting the little $5 caps at your neighborhood store because you will get an equal amount of coverage. Trust me, save your money.

Bought a swim cap for my daughter and tried EVERYTHING but it still gets water in it every time! I am so upset this did not work for her hair I feel like i wasted money on this product and her hair style at this point.

Update: They reached out and gave my credit. But it should have been given earlier and it shouldn’t have taken a bad review to get them to respond. I ordered a hat and then returned it due to just didn't look good on me. They acknowledged the return via email and said the credit would be on card within 5 business days. almost 3 weeks later, I have not received my credit. I have emailed them twice and left a voicemail as they don't answer their customer service phone.

I have sent multiple emails looking for an order placed on 6/7/2026. I have no item and no email response but you have my money. I need your product or my refund. I was trying to support never again. I am very disappointed in your poor business practices. Do better Hairbrella!!!!! Update Hairbrella made it right. Order received.

I got a swim hat from hairbrella used it 4 times now but when I do lenths to swim and put my head in the water it leaks through the hat so it does not do wnat it says on the websites and all the videos it shows of people going in water and there hair being dry. Waste of money would not recommend it to no-one

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service from Hairbrella. I had an issue with my order and made multiple attempts to contact the company for assistance. I called several times, left voicemails, and sent numerous emails, but received no response at all. When customers spend their money, they expect at least basic communication and support if a problem arises. Being completely ignored is frustrating and unacceptable. Unfortunately, due to the lack of customer service and follow-up, I cannot recommend this company. I hope they improve their responsiveness and support for future customers.

Update: After filing a complaint with the BBB, on June 16th, I was finally issued a refund. It took another week to land back onto my card. On May 5, 2026, I placed an order for 4 swim caps. 2 classic size and 2 children's size and a free pillowcase. Not a minute later, my order was updated to exclude the free item that I had qualified for. I immediately emailed to ask why, and got no response. After receiving the order, I immediately contacted Hairbrella. The swim caps were too small for all of us. I called the website and emailed and got no response. I wrote a Facebook comment on a Hairbrella post, and then was contacted by private message. An exchange for 2 children's swim caps for xl swim caps was arranged. I was given a label to send back the children's caps. I mailed them, the received a new order number for the xl swim caps. After receiving the xl swim caps, we discovered that the caps are indeed not water proof at all. I was shown by a friend who bought the product before I did that they do not work by watching her swim with her own purchased cap. I immediately filed a return for both the exchange and the original 2 classic swim caps. I went to the same Facebook private message and to the website to file the return. Communication began to slow down drastically. After a week of bank and forth over a return label, which i was told to use the same label for both orders, I was told to send pictures of the 4 swim caps and me packaging it. I did and sent them off. It has been over a week since my return was delivered to Hairbrella and my refund has not been processed. I now get zero messages from Facebook or email as to why. I finally got a response and Hairbrella acted like they didn't know what they were refunding for and didn't know the amount. I still have no refund.

Warning to potential customers be aware of Hairbrella refund scam !!!!! If I could give Hairbrella a zero percent rating I most certainly would. My experience with Hairbrella has been one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I've had. I spent $116.09 on an order placed on May 7, 2026. I returned the package through USPS on May 15, 2026 and I have proof that the return was successfully delivered. Despite having my returned merchandise, Hairbrella has still not issued my refund. What makes this situation even worse is the complete lack of customer service. I have reached out multiple times for an update, including through Facebook, and have received little to no response. Meanwhile, the company continues to hold my money with no clear explanation and no resolution. Customers deserve transparency, communication, and timely refunds. In my experience, I received none of those things. If you are considering placing an order, I strongly encourage you to think about what might happen if you need to make a return or request a refund. A company's true character is revealed when there is a problem not when they are taking your payment. Unfortunately, based on my experience, Hairbrella has failed to provide the level of service and accountability that customers should expect. I am sharing my experience to help others make an informed decision before spending their hard earned money. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. Before this experience, I was considering becoming a repeat customer and purchasing additional products from Hairbrella in the future. However, after returning my order, providing proof of delivery, still not receiving my refund, and not receiving adequate communication regarding its status, I have completely lost confidence in this company. As a customer, I expect honesty, accountability, and timely resolutions when issues arise. Unfortunately, my experience has not reflected those standards. Until my refund is processed and this matter is properly addressed, I will not be making any future purchases, and I cannot recommend that others do so without carefully considering the risks involved.
