Thank you for reaching out - I'm sorry for any confusion on the taxes and duties charges. We do try to communicate this as best as possible since this charge does not come from GUNNAR. When a customer is checking out and the shipping address is outside of the United States, there is an extra check box that must be checked before placing the order. The check box reads "I acknowledge I am responsible for my countries duties and fees" so that the order will not be processed without this acknowledgment.
