Hi Michael, Thank you for reaching out - I'm sorry there looks to have been an increase in the amount you had to pay for taxes and duties, unfortunately, we have no control over this charge. The charge that you're seeing is actually not from GUNNAR Optiks. The charge is for the customs & duties that your country charges for incoming packages from other countries. If you are looking for more clarity as to why you were charged more I would recommend contacting FedEx directly as they will be able to explain the cost. All the best, Team GUNNAR

Hi Ryan, Thanks for reaching out to us - I'm very sorry about the incorrect contact information that was used and caused an issue regarding the taxes and duties payments. We do try to communicate this as best as possible since this charge does not come from GUNNAR. When a customer is checking out and the shipping address is outside of the United States, there is an extra check box that must be checked before placing the order. The check box reads "I acknowledge I am responsible for my countries duties and fees" so that the order will not be processed without this acknowledgment. I am so sorry if there was any confusion regarding these separate taxes and duties, as we do try to make it as clear as possible in the checkout page so you're made aware in advance. I reviewed your tracking information, and it looks like FedEx just needs additional information from you before the order can get cleared.
