There was some confusion about the number of edits GRF would perform, despite their terms and conditions specifically stating the purchaser would receive two edits after the initial consultation. When I brought the language of their terms to their attention, I was told that what I signed was their general Ts&Cs, and the language I referred to was for a different service. My question, of course was why would you have me sign Ts&Cs that didn't fully apply to the service I purchased? I was told everyone signs the same document, as if this explained away their misrepresentation of the services they would provide. I wouldn't refer them to anyone since this felt like a bait and switch. Ultimately, I had to pay more to have them complete their review of the edits to my resume I shared with them. They would've let me walk away with an incomplete resume, which brings me to my other point. This service is set up such that they provide you with a consultation and then you perform the edits to the resume. I've never experienced this before, and it wasn't established clearly up front—worst experience with a resume writing service EVER.

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Great Resumes Fast. I hired the company expecting professional support and communication, but what I received fell far short. After the initial engagement, I sent two follow up emails and never received a response. The lack of follow through and accountability was frustrating and unacceptable, especially from a company that claims to specialize in helping people present themselves professionally.
When clients invest in a service like this, they expect a level of care and responsiveness that simply was not there. I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for more reliable and client focused resume support.

I want to share the complete story of this project so potential clients can understand how we handle service delivery, even when projects take unexpected turns.
How This Project Unfolded
April 19th: We delivered the professionally written resume we had contracted for, targeting the Government Affairs position based on the job posting this client had provided during our consultation.
May 1st: The client reached out to tell me the resume looked good and that no edits were needed. However, he had decided to completely change career directions and now wanted to pursue an Assistant City Manager role instead. He provided a new job posting for this entirely different target. This was outside our scope and terms and conditions for the project. We write a single resume for a target role based on the client's intended job target. After approving of the first resume, he then changed directions and asked for a second resume. This would normally incur a rebranding fee for a second resume.
This career pivot would require additional time since it represented a significant shift from what we had discussed in our original consultation. Despite this being well beyond our contracted scope, his writer decided to move forward with the rebrand because he seemed satisfied with our work and she wanted to help him succeed.
May 9th: She delivered the completely rebranded resume, essentially a second professionally written resume targeting public sector management rather than government affairs.
May 15th: The client said he was happy with this new version and asked for the ATS-optimized format.
May 16th: Even though it was a Friday, the writer committed to getting him everything over the weekend to meet his timeline.
May 18th: His writer delivered the ATS-optimized version as promised.
May 20th: When he mentioned not receiving the files, the writer immediately resent everything. Then he asked which version we had created the ATS format for, and requested that we also create an ATS-optimized version of the original resume.
At this point, his writer realized the client was essentially asking for two complete resume packages - the original Government Affairs resume with ATS optimization, plus the rebranded Assistant City Manager resume with ATS optimization.
His writer explained that she is approved to work on a single version per project, and while she was happy to ensure he had access to both versions she had created, she couldn't provide ATS optimization for both without expanding the project scope. We let him know we would be happy to create the second ATS-optimized version for an additional fee. This is when the client became angry and complained.
Looking back at this timeline, we provided far more than what we originally contracted for. This client received two professionally written resumes, expedited weekend delivery, a 4-business-day turnaround that included a consultation outside our normal business hours, and ATS optimization - all while accommodating a complete career direction change mid-project.
We believe the work quality and extra value we provided speaks to our commitment to client success and that this one star rating is an unfair reflection of the quality of the project and instead retribution for not delivering additional work for free.

The process does not take 3-5 days
The process does not take 3-5 days. It’s been nearly a month and I struggle to receive responses by my resume writer. I follow up every 3 days just to ping a response back that is not satisfactory. When I received my cover letter I asked for a revision that aligns more with my background and have yet to receive another draft. I asked about the use of AI programs because the quality of my resume seemed to have been sent through ChatGPT. I also inquired about having a prepared LinkedIn Profile which I thought I paid for but have yet to have a response. I definitely would not recommend spending $1500 on their services.
To follow up with the company’s invalid response:
Meeting was set on 1/22 with resume writer and the first draft was sent 1/30. I followed up on 1/29 after deadline was missed and then email draft was sent on 1/30. On 2/3 I addressed my concerns around AI and received a response on 2/5 which did not include any screen shots. It was self declared that they ran it through an AI checker. After requesting changes to a cover letter 2/7 and then following back up on 2/12 without a prior response I then received a new cover letter that more reflects my experience.

During our engagement with Doug, our team demonstrated exceptional dedication and responsiveness. We delivered his initial resume draft ahead of the 3-5 day delivery schedule, promptly addressed his feedback through tracked changes, and provided detailed explanations of our professional writing approach when concerns arose.
When Doug expressed concerns about AI-generated content, we proved it was human-generated by running his content through multiple AI detectors and providing screenshot evidence, while explaining the professional resume writing techniques that differentiate expert resume writing from both AI and amateur writing.
We went above and beyond for this client by creating a second customized cover letter (at no charge) tailored specifically for VP of Sales & Marketing roles in the food industry. Throughout the process, we always communicated in a timely manner, offered multiple revision opportunities (beyond the scope of the two revisions provided as part of the project), provided detailed customization instructions, and even attempted to schedule a personal call to ensure complete alignment with his needs (additional calls beyond the scope of the original project to ensure his 100% satisfaction).
We went above and beyond the scope of what this client engaged and paid us for, provided additional services at no charge, extra revisions at no charge, and offered additional calls - at no charge all to ensure he was 100% happy. There's not much else we could do to ensure he was satisfied.

Overcharging and Underdelivering
To begin with, the process wasn't fast, and I wasn't provided a resume within a week. Also, after uploading my resume to a job board, they provided feedback on the quality of my resume- and it didn't score well for getting through ATS's. I sent this information to my resume writer, and she never responded.
Almost 3 months later and 156 applications, I only had 2 interviews. I've extensive corporate sales experience, have been awarded Vendor of the Year awards from Target and have had success everywhere I've been. Further networking no doubt led to me other people trying to sell their resume services. Two other services ran my resume through their systems to grade it for getting through an ATS- and the scores were below 60 (out of a 100).
I sent a LinkedIn message to Jessica Hernandez and she said she'd have someone get back to me. Kelly did reach out and asked for more details. I provided her with EVERYTHING! The log with all positions I had applied to, the feedback from others regarding my resume and more. Her response was a letter saying it's a tough time, and then went on to essentially regurgitate all of their marketing materials and the same stuff Jessica posts all the time. Kelly seemed to completely ignore what I told her - which included doing almost all of what their service had recommended.
There are definitely other services which can do better, and charge you much less. Stay away from this one.

Not so "Great" or "Fast" - AI solutions offer better customer service!
"Great Resumes Fast" was unwilling to discuss my requirements for my executive resume update. In any business, to provide exceptional services, especially those unique to the individual you are writing about, there needs to be a willingness to understand your client's requirements and uniqueness. Jessica (owner/president), Kelly (customer service manager), and the assigned writer, who was a contractor, had no interest in having that conversation concerning what I wanted to see in the update to the resume they created for me back in 2017 which cost over $1,300. For the update, they wanted $995. They seemed only concerned about getting you to sign up for a package and pay. After I paid and tried to seek clarification, raised my concern about the lack of collaboration or attention to what I was looking to get out of the service, and requested a call, Jessica declined to have a call to discuss my project and instead refunded my $995. What I experienced as a client contradicts how Jessica presents herself and her business on social media. I thought she would have the courtesy to discuss my project. Very disheartening. The good news is that many excellent executive writing services exist that genuinely care about their clients. AI services are more effective and do a better job listening to my specific, unique requirements than "Great Resumes Fast," they produce a more effective deliverable and outcome for much less money (some are free). Unfortunately, "Great Resumes Fast" is not one of them, especially if you want a great, unique, standout resume.

This was the worst professional service experience
This was the worst experience of customer service- they took forever to get back to me- I received contradictory advice from my resume writer and Jessica, and the resume they gave me didn’t get me ONE call back, not one!!! I applied everywhere and got nothing. Such an abysmal waste of money and time. When I went to them after 3 months of no results with the resume they wrote me, they tried talking me into buying more services with them. I’m happy to see that others have had success with this service, however I think this company is a scam. Also, the resumes they design are hideous, they’re only built for applying online, not for grabbing the attention of actual hiring humans. The feedback I have gotten on my resume is that it would end up in the wastebasket, based on its appearance alone and it’s utter lack of personality.
I even purchased a rebrand immediately after my initial resume was created because I was so disappointed with the initial product and when I spoke to my second resume writer I realized that I had just wasted another $500, didn’t even finish the consultation process.
I’ve been unemployed now for 5 months and I’m out over $1700 on this crap service that I believe has hurt my prospects rather than help.

MONEY NOT WELL SPENT
[name] follows up and is a good communicator. That's where my positive experience ends. I did get a complete package, resume, Global Executive Recruiter Distribution, Web Resume, and the Executive Career Launch Package. Big mistake on first resume. After no activity and other concerns I had it rewritten. Still no activity. My major mistake was getting extras, Global Exec Recruiter, Web Resume, Career launch package. These proved to ZERO activity. One year and 2 resume writers later I can report that the only headhunter I have worked with requested my resume be different. This resume has produce no interviews, and the extras I paid for were a complete mistake. I believe the resume writers are capable but they had no clue what to do for me. Almost $1800 dollars later it produced zero, I repeat ZERO feedback.
