Overall, the initial response time with the property manager was great. A few glitches along the way. Until a complaint or an email to a higher up is sent voicing concern or dissatisfaction. Having dealt with landlords directly in the past, The lease renewal process is less than professional in my opinion. As an insurance professional, the most important aspect of service is a timely response and notice of changes. I was given no advanced notice of a severe change in our lease agreement and no time to decide whether or not we wanted to continue the lease agreement at renewal. Emails were sent requesting a discussion on a rental fee increase along with the changes in the parameters of the agreement. That included additional costs that were being passed from the landlord to me. Although the actual rent increase was nominal, the additional monthly expenses of repairs and maintenance were not disclosed until it was too late for us to decide to terminate and move on Our increase in total is approximately $200 more than the prior lease term. What a terrible thing for most tenants to have to endure and factor into a monthly budget. We are now forced to sign a lease for another year or risk losing a large deposit and endure a higher month to month option. Buying our own home has never been more of a necessity than now. The mortgage would be less. With no contact with the landlord directly it has been a very disappointing experience to say the least.

GreatJones has great people! ...When you can get ahold of them. They take forever to email or call back. We still haven’t received our move in inspection photos, one month later. Paying your bill online through their portal also has HUGE fees so it’s a scramble to get to Walmart when 2/3 of the house work and the other 1/3 can’t drive.

Update: I appreciate Great Jones reaching out several times to get the fridge situation taken care of. Ali reached out personally to make sure there was nothing else I needed or how they could make the situation right. The company offered me a concession, which has been greatly appreciated. I look forward to a better experience going forward. I had a hard time getting contact information to speak to someone about what I needed to do in order to guarantee I would get my keys on the correct day. The language in the lease led me to believe I needed to get the water bill in my name. I asked several times who I need to call to get this done. With no response, I finally figured a way to do it myself, only to be told the lease isn't specific to every house and I didn't need to do that. The day of move in, I arranged my entire trip to meet the PM at a specific time. 30 minutes before that time he let me know he couldn't meet me and rescheduled for the next day. On the next day he again tried to reschedule for the following say, but I insisted we do the walkthrough. Upon move in, my fridge wasn't working properly. This was noted on a Thursday. The PM said he would have it fixed. Finally on a Wednesday someone was sent, only to say a part needs to be ordered, but no idea when that will happen. So I've been without a fridge for 10 days, which means I still can't buy groceries or store leftovers. I arranged another maintenance request for this morning, which the PM said at the last minute that he needed to reschedule due to weather (despite no weather). There is a lot of lack of follow through and as someone who did everything as quickly as possible to accommodate management, that hasn't been a reciprocal relationship. I asked several times if I can get a discount since my fridge should have been in working condition upon move in and it is not and has not been since I moved in, but no response. Can't say I'm pleased or impressed with the experience thus far, and more annoyed with people being so liberal with my time and expecting me to change appointments with very little notice in advance.

We had to call Florida numerous occasions because your system was down, or at least what we were told when we signed the lease and they said it didn't go through. Then the lady said utilities are put on acct with our rent. Just pay it on the internet. We prefer in our name, but after weeks of confusion, we got in our name since we were told conflicting stories. Then we go to pay rent, and you charge us $46. No one has given us an alternate way to pay. Please help us. As far as the house, it's being well kept, and clean, but had maintenance over to fix the dishwasher. It's older and needs replaced badly. I'm sorry for being critical, but things things need addressed.

I had to follow up multiple times to get the issues fixed. I have roaches issue in house and some action needs to be taken to get this fixed
